Reading the Mirror today, I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw this letter:

 

I don't find Comical Ali particularly comical at all. It took courage to stand up and tell all those lies knowing full well it was all over for Iraq. And judging by the recent pictures of him it has certainly taken it's toll. I hope he has a peaceful retirement.

 

How can anyone be so thick?!?!

 

This person was from Essex by the way.

I thought comical Ali was great.

 

On the subject on stupid letters, don't you hate them people who write in to say things like "I'm so glad that catherine zeta jones and micheal dogulas have a new child, they sometimes get bad press ....blah blah blah"

Remember, these people have thought this in the first place, gone and wrote it down and gone to the trouble of buying a stamp and going to a post box to post it.

Yeah too left wing and too 'tabloidy'! At least you're honest enough to admit reading it, which is something I suppose.

Like Super Daz say's, newspapers and particularly the Mirror, isn't exactly the best source of news anymore. Most of them are politically biased and trying to force their opinions on us.

I read the Independent myself. I have my own political opinions, and don't need any more rammed down my throat by the Mail, Mirror, or whomever. A little bit of balance - that's why I say.

 

Mind you - I can't read the Mail without starting to foam at the mouth wihth rage.

As for papers - they all talk Bo***cks. I don't bother with any of them now, apart from the occasional bit of Guardian and Independent, if I'm bored. I find alot of the foreign papers are quite good, and Radio 4, although I acknowledge that they're all very biased as well. For some reason the Spanish papers have to have at least one photo of a dead person a day <img src="/images/graemlins/tongue.gif" alt="" />
