I got caught out with that one at Chesham a couple of seasons ago Pabird!!

Chesham's Goalkeeper Delroy Preddie, (who is black) managed to pull off a superb save and I called him a "Lucky Black [******]!!" and got some funny looks off several of the Yellow Army, yet had I called him just a "Lucky [******]!!" Would I have been given the same looks?...Or am I shooting way wide of the mark on this topic?! <img src="/images/graemlins/bow.gif" alt="" />

So by that definition calling someone a fat or bald [****!!****] is as bad as calling someone a black [****!!****], because you would be discriminating against all fat or bald people as well? - Maybe in most people's eyes but probably not in the eyes of the law.

chubby.. i said something concerning potlitical crap about what the coppers have to do.. u assumed i was talking about race and gender.. why?.. what gives you the right to assume that i am talking about race and gender when in fact im talking about paperwork.. why throw the race and gender card at me ? who made you the board P.C. police??

because when I mis-read the political crap bit I thought you were refering to 'politically correct' crap so that's where the gender and race bit came from, as when I think of political correctness I think of those two areas(that could just be me, I don't know). I thought you meant that police were being made to spend too long on these areas and I was just pointing out that they don't spend as much time on it as people think. So there you go.

In my opinion, if you think people are going to take offense, don't say it - simple really.

With regards to the black thing, its all do to with previous connotations, people always used to call people 'black b**stards' in a racist way, therefore whether you mean it or not, it will probably cause offense.
