Rhodes
First Round Group 1 A Brentwood v Southill Alexander Has anybody got a date for this tie yet, I may go along as I have a suspicion that, although it won't be an Arbroath v Bon Accord, there will still be a lot of goals
Loose
No dates yet Rhodesy but do so please come along. I'd so look forward to seeing you.
Rhodes
Loosely - You claim that we have met previously but I don't remember you, were you at the meeting we had in the Hornchurch boardroom when they played Merstham in the FA Cup
Loose
No, I was not there. The only time I've ever been in the Hornchurch Boardroom was the tie with Peterborough. It was a bit of a get together with Captain Croc (James Baker) which Karl Williams was kind enough to facilitate. Sadly James died shortly after. Don't worry if you won't recognise me because I'm sure that I can re-introduce myself, I'll have no problems picking you out for special attention. We met on the Eastside at Hornchurch and you didn't have a lot to say for yourself, I remember you being as quiet as a church mouse then and I wondered to myself where was this gobby bloke who doesn't seem to have a problem when he's behind a keyboard. Rhodes
Do we know whether the 'big' final is taking place tomorrow evening at Tilbury and the dates for this season's eagerly awaited First Round ties such as Hullbridge v Royston Town, Biggleswade Town v Hoddesdon Town and Brentwood v Southill Alexander
Rhodes
I note that last season's final between Tilbury and Halstead Town will now take place on Thursday 18 March at Tilbury, kick off 7.45. I gather Hoddesdon Town have withdrawn from this season's competition giving Biggleswade Town a bye, do we know why.
Rhodes
I thought Jonno would have come on by now to explain away why Hoddesdon Town withdrew from the East Anglian Cup unless NeutralFan knows

The Watchfull Listener
Lets me honest the competiton is a complete farce. The final from last season has not even been fulfilled yet and not one game from this season's draw has been completed. What chance is there of completing every game in the 7 weeks or so of this season is there ? None!! The competition has gradually declined in numbers, importance and respect over a number of years now and is run with incompetence. I would imagine this is the reason why Hoddesdon have withdrawn and I can see others following !!

Rhodes
Lets me honest the competiton is a complete farce. The Watchfull Listener - I agree but why did Royston Town enter again then particularly after your game at Tilbury last season when you were robbed blind. Rhodes
MonkeyMonkey8 - I'm not sure what you mean as I wasn't making a dig about Royston, I was agreeing with The Watchfull Listener that the East Anglian Cup is a Mickey Mouse competition
Basil-Don
MonkeyMonkey8 - I'm not sure what you mean as I wasn't making a dig about Royston, I was agreeing with The Watchfull Listener that the East Anglian Cup is a Mickey Mouse competition Calling the East Anglian Cup 'Mickey Mouse' is indeed an insult to a much loved Disney character, N.H. couldnt run a bath never mind a senior Cup Competition, last season Basildon were due to play Tilbury on a Monday night only for N.H. to tell our Secretary the day before the match that he still hadnt found any officials, when Basildon postponed the match they were thrown out of the competition. Basildon's opponents for that match were Tilbury and who sat on the committee which decided to throw Basildon out of the Competition? none other than the Tilbury Secretary, A few weeks back last seasons final was due to take place only for Tilbury to postpone at 6.45 pm, i also see now that step 7 sides have gained access to the Competition, i certain hope that my club never enters this shambles again.
