Surprised nobody's mentioned this already, but Brian McDermott has been appointed caretaker manager of Reading following the departure of Brendan Rogers. Lets hope he gets the job full-time.

yes i see his interveiw he gave on the league show , must say that his appearance has changed if he walked past me in the street i would have trouble recognising him. still he did us no disservice and was a good manager for us, hope it all goes well for him, done well yesterday got their first draw for a long time

I heard the commentator refer to Brian as being in the Berkshire Schools team that played at Anfield in the mid seventies as a 14 year old. It was in fact the Slough Schools team that played against Liverpool Schools team. I think the leg at Wexham Park held the record attendance at the ground. It might even stand until this day. I mean the attendance, not the leg. Get it ! Well done Brian, hope you get the job full time.

Yep well done Brian. Here's to him hopefully getting the job on a full-time basis, sending a couple of talented youth players to us on loan and a pre-season friendly at Holloways Park ;-)

sod a holloways park friendly i was thinking more of an orchard stadium friendly just looking positive to the future.
