Have you noticed the stark comments from the league website?

 

Premier Division - Chippenham Town against Evesham United is the only Premier Division game to survive the big freeze

 

Division One Midlands - The entire Midlands' programme was wiped out by the weather

 

Division One South & West - Bridgwater Town's match against Andover is the only fixture still on in the South & West.

At the moment the only game on is Bridgwater Vs. Andover.

Hardly shock of the year though is it, even if a pitch is playable considering the travelling in those divisions it is likely the away team may not be able to make it anyway. Its just that winter break all the managers seem to go on about, so they should be happy.

At this level i think there should be one. In the first half of the there is alot of free tuesday nights. Okay so there might be some cup games etc but it makes more sense to play games when the weather is decent and the pitches are in better condition. Start again mid-january. It's not like the players have a international competion in the summer!!

Totally agree with you Woody, lots of empty Tuesdays due to potential FA Cup, Trophy, League and County cups. Add to that a very full fixture list and we can all see the congestion piling up when a few games are cancelled due to weather. A break would be ideal and easily facilitated (for most teams) with early season mid week games (probably get bigger crowds as well due to the nicer weather!!)
