Can you believe the game is off??????

We never, ever get snow here. Canterbury can be entirely snowed in but we will get a light dusting before it all disappears. At 7am it was just a light dusting then it pelted down.

At least it means the programme for the Tonbridge game, which I sent Thursday, won't be so out of date!

I was just thinking that myself. I certainly remember games in the snow at Hartsdown.

Trouble is now that the health and safety aspect has to be taken into consideration.

More likely the condition of the roads in West Kent Steve. But I understand you're frustration. I remember as a kid a match against Bedford being called off when Hartsdown had a light covering of snow.

Coffin Ender - I suppose schools in Kent closed yesterday. We're turning into a nation of softies.

Also off.............

Canvey Island v Harrow Borough

Carshalton Athletic v Maidstone United

Hendon v Bognor Regis Town

Waltham Abbey v Tooting & Mitcham United

Pitch Inspections...........

AFC Hornchurch v Tonbridge Angels (9.30)

Cray Wanderers v Aveley (10.30)

Hastings United v Boreham Wood (10.00)

Horsham v Dartford (10.30)

Wealdstone v Billericay Town (10.00)

That leaves just one game apparently not under threat.......

Kingstonian v Ashford Town (Middx)

Cray Wanderers v Aveley off

To think I helped Jim Cullen paint the lines black on one occasion after the fans helped clear the pitch.

i could not believe it. at 3-00 am I went to Chatham, the centre lane of the m2 was still closed, no sign of a plough. very little traffic in the town, no ploughs out, no gritters. beggars belief
