“We’ve got to work within our budget and it’s a long process for us all, and I’m extremely optimistic about where I can take Margate and I think we should all stay really, really positive about it.”

I am optimistic medium term that he can as well, but for heavens sake, short term, lets make sure we climb away from the relegation zone pdq .

Long term in the Ryman South or short term in the Ryman Premier & I for one don't wanna join those from over the other side next season (they wont get promoted). Agreed Michael.

Yes,I too am sure things WILL improve in "Time" but its short term that we need to see improvement too otherwise we'll be playing "catch up" .....yet again.

We need some improvement & some positive results whilst waiting for the future to arrive.

I have faith in the manager, he is honest and brutal with it. There is no pampering to players egos here. Yes we all want to see a massive improvement now, but to be brutally honest its not gonna happen. Maybe we are paying for NOT being relegated last season, maybe going down would have been better for the players we have.

Now for positives. We are gonna get better. We will start to turn losses into draws and draws into wins. Will we stay up this year? Yes I honestly believe we will. A mid table finish will be a huge success for us, I will settle for being 2 places above the relegation cut off. Its time to stop complaining, find positives and stick with them. We have scored 11 goals in the last 4 league games. How many of us saw that happening after the start of the season when we were all asking where the goals were coming from? We conceeded 11 goals in the same 4 games. Yes that is a horrendous average, but do we really see that continuing for the rest of the season? Soon we will stop conceeding stupid soft goals and making opposition teams have to really work to score past us. The defence CAN and WILL improve. Its time to get behind the team, shout louder, applaud the defence, tell them when they are doing well, not just moan when they make mistakes. We can help build the confidence we want to see from our team.

Now is the time to GET BEHIND THE WHOLE TEAM.

We can start the climb tomorrow with 3 points against Sutton. I can't see many matches being played in the division tomorrow as we have about 6-8 inches of snow up here, and the majority of teams are around the London area. Its also freezing tonight so we need to make it count.
