I think people are being slightly melodramatic here.

1) Of MB's games in charge, Wednesday was the only genuinely bad display. The other games have seen some good football let down by giving away silly goals.

2) Sutton are ordinary. We held them to 2-2 over 90 minutes twice in September, I don't think we are any worse than we were then.

3) Hendon (who lost to some team called Hanworth Villa midweek - I see their fans haven't been holding anguished inquests on their forum), Waltham Abbey and Cray will be relegated.

I disagree with DM's comment that a massive re-vamp is required, at least in the short term (this season).

We're far from the finished article, but are probably only two or three players away from being a solid mid-table team in this division.

I personally feel that with the addition of James Duncan we can afford to shuffle the midfield around to give us more work rate in there. Can't help but feel that the defence gets put under too much pressure as a result of teams cutting straight through our midfield. Some would argue that set pieces are an art-form and we need specialist takers but surely we have a few that are capable.

Let's see some better body language tomorrow. I don't know if he realises it quite as much as supporters do but LB cuts such a frustrated figure. Lloyd, we know you're often isolated up front, but channel that frustration into your game rather than showing it to your opponents.

Let's see more encouragement (players and fans), and plenty of passion tomorrow.

Worth noting too that a possible solution to our defensive issues - Matt Bourne - had a solid game for Sittingbourne on Wednesday. Tall, and a good organiser. Don't know if we have pursued that one but worth a look.

Is the situation with LB similar to that of Wilson earlier this season?

I have alot of time for LB-could still play at a higher level ,but to me-is not really a striker (despite that -he's scored about 7 league goals i think so not a bad return .)

He is leading the line, scoring, foraging essentially single handed.

Once he gets some proper support-he will be even better.

Until stubbs re-joined, wilson was essentially running midfiled single handedly-it did not work.Stubbs joins -they work as a pair-and Wilsons game has improved.

I'm sure once Blackman gets a meaningful quality partner-he'll play even better.

Wilsons game could hardly have got any worse and i've seen no real improvement in his commitment or defensive play!

He just gets that bit more time on the ball thanks to the protection Stubbsys workrate affords him.

Don't think Stubbsys game would suffer without Wilson alongside him, do you?

The question of attitude as been brought up, I don't think up front it is a matter of not wanting, LB as the ability, he is not an out and out striker but, in old parlance, an inside forward. one who feeds of the knock down / lay offs from a centre forward. also one who brings the ball into spaces created by the said centre forward.

Young Sam as, I believe, played centre all his career except for the 1st team, he loves the position. Unfortunately I do not think he is physically strong enough yet for the position at this level. so we are left with 2 inside forwards competing for the same piece of turf.

I am sorry but, I have to say again our midfield is not good enough. I know they are great lads but, that does not give anybody the right to play if ,they are not producing. work rate without end product is a negative for the rest. Your forwards are left wanting, feeling the need to come deep to collect( so not putting pressure on the defence) the lost ball puts immediate pressure on your defence, especially the young defence we had on wednesday. The midfield is the quote"ENGINE ROOM". If the engine miss fires then the vehicle can only stutter forward, not proceed smoothly. Fortunately if Duncan and Healy are both fit ,we are on the way to having that tuned, smooth running engine. At the back we have a couple of good wing backs who both also can produce penetrating throw ins. Our big weakness as you all know is our young inexperienced centre backs. I have no doubt that they will all become the finished articles eventually. Unfortuntlley they are not yet at that stage. We as you will all agree need either Dan Young and Louis back orat least another strong, experienced player to keep the youngsters on the straight and narrow. My coclusion is we are short of 3, 2 in mid field and 1 in the centre of defence.

I have a lot of confidence in the gate staying in the league and hopefully pushing for that last play off position, I agree with "cookie".

In this day and age, with world cup finals, world cup qualifiers and the like being played on the new generation of artificial pitches, It is about time our authrities took their finger out of the dyke and allowed league games to be played on them.

January is going to be a big month for the management, the players and the Club. Bring it on.

Wilson springs to mind. Even when the rest of his game has been diabolical, and at times he has been really bad this season, his set pieces have remained strong. It's what I think kept him in the team earlier in the season.

Frozen terraces would still stop the game these days though.

starting to think that some of the players..........and dads get on this forum????

Leave Blackman and Wilson alone. They are very commited players and have been twon of only a handfull of players who have been playing reguarly since the start of the season. We have used nearly 50 players, 3 different managers and not to mention the goalkeeping situation. it is a joke. Look at Dover last year and Dartford this....they have probably used no more than 25 players and they are running away with the league, continuety brings success. We need the likes of Blackman, Healy, Wilson Robinson to stay in the team and people trying to munipulate other peoples opinions of these players. We are one of the biggest teams in kent (outside of the football league) and we are lucky to attract talented players like these to our club. GET BEHIND THEM!!!!

I don't think there is any point you have raised there blueblood that I would disagree with . After watching the game on Wednesday I felt totally deflated and didn't know if I could even bring myself to go to todays game - fortunately the decision was taken out of my hands.

Consider yourself shot!

Can sort of see what you mean-but once down -its so hard to get back up.(but thats just age )

Reaching the playoffs is no good-it only counts for something if you win the play offs.

That given-i really hope that ramsgate do join Margate in the premiership next season.

all the best

How many of last seasons team who should have been relegated are still first team regulars this season? Most changes to the core team didnt happen until after M.B. took over, yet still a lot of fans here expected them to be challenging for the playoffs this season. I admit I was hopeful at the start of the season but now reality hits hard in the winter and I truly think that a succesful season will be a season where we avoid relegation. Having said that, we have the players we have, I think we have the manager for the job and I think avoiding relegation will give us a stable platform to start building from.

In regard to Ramsgate Builders comment as to would be have been better off being relegated? I ask myself this a lot, and on reflection I think probably not. Yes the competition is a level lower, but that dont mean we would be winning easily, after all sittingbourne are in that league, and we would NOT have been able to attract a manager of Mark Butler's capabilities, and with all the best will in the world, could any one of us really have seen T.Y. being ale to swallow relegation? International manager to getting a non league team relegated, thats gotta really hurt your pride. So no if we had been relegated we would have been much much worse off than we are now.
