Slough under 18's lose

On a bitterley cold night at Beaconsfield..Thanks to those who attended ....

 

Slough Town Youth 0 - Wokingham & Embrook 1

 

A huge disapointment as the first half was evenly matched by both side , with both Keepers making some good saves.

 

However the 2nd Half Slough Dominanted the match through out , failing in part to convert chance after chance and The Wokingham

 

goal keeper making 3 outstanding saves, The writing was on the wall , Wokingham started to look dangerous on the break , and after

 

76 minutes yes Slough conceeded a sloppy goal and that was that ! Wokingham close ranks and put 11 men behind the ball.

 

and defended there very slender lead, which they acheived will some force and determination.

 

Slough deserved a better result , but as Football goes if you dont scored youlle never win !

from my visits, at the beggining of the season and of late, to the under 18's games I was still very surprised that our keeper still doesn't kick a dead ball i.e. free-kicks and goal kicks. This is an obvious dis-advantage to the team and wondered if there was a particular reason for this?
