That's not quite right is it?

It has been re-scheduled for the 23rd December and moved to Champion Hill which is still no guarantee that it will be played.

Well where do we start. Aylesbury were very poor, ok missing players through injury/unavailable but no excuse, this aylesbury team should be enough for the game. Aylesbury should/could have been 4 up in the first 30 minutes but for some woeful finishing all from the same striker. The Hares first goal was a cracker, deserved applause, the second, well scored by our own defender who was having a mare, without pressure he hammered the ball towards his own goal only to see it rebound off the post to hit him and fly into the net, much to the amusement of the crowd, the Hares 3rd, another well taken goal, the attacker got between two defenders ( one being the lad having the mare ) won the ball and smacked a piledriver into the roof of the net. In all of the second half I think Aylesbury only had a couple of chances where the Hares keeper did well to save. Must add I think the manager attended his firms Christmas party during the day, his substitutions could have only been done while drunk.

Now saying all that, I dont think the Hares were as good a team as when we played them early season, it was just a night that Aylesbury will want to forget quickly.

A result from this evening (Wednesday) which, frustratingly, isn't on the Mitoo Website as yet (10.10):

London FA Senior Cup 2nd Round

Why are you frustrated if you already know the result?

I have absolutely no idea. After my Horlicks, i went to at 10.30, as I have driven to Leeds and back today.

Horace - So in other words the result was still not up on the Mitoo site at 10.30 last night, that's really poor as Brimsdown Rovers v Redbridge was the only game

Please don't keep criticising volunteers Rhodes. Get yourself on Jim Bean's distribution list and let's see if you can get the results on here EVERY night quicker than they appear on Mitoo.

Horace - I'm not criticising volunteers as I'm one myself and know full well that it is a thankless task, I merely pointed out that there was only one game on Wednesday evening so the result could have quite easily been on the Mitoo site by 9.45.

Football Man - So you were at Goldsdown Road on Wednesday then, Brimsdown appear to be playing well at the moment

1 1 Biggleswade United v St Margaretsbury

An anorak from another's site was at this one on Tuesday evening, Biggleswade United have always been one of the friendliest Club's in the SSML if not the friendliest:

Biggleswade Utd 1 St. Margaretsbury 1.

Spartan South Midlands League.

Premier Division.

Admission £4 (Including programme).

Was glad that this game was going ahead as I was assured over the phone by the helpful secretary, Tracey James. Received a very warm welcome and was given a mug ot tea at half time (very welcome that was after freezing outside in the first half).

Goalless at half time. Was alot warmer at the start of the second half as the breeze dropped. The visitors took a late lead and very late in the game, Biggleswade levelled. A draw was a fair result and given the poor conditions, it was a good game.

Only have Aylesbury left to do in this division of this league now and hopefully I might do that during the christmas break.

Would recommend a visit here as this is a very friendly club (they can put programmes aside for hoppers if they phone the secretary ahead).

There is nothing left of the old Biggleswade Town ground next door, apart from the floodlights.
