Haringey Borough v Fisher - London Senior Cup 2nd Round

Recommended Posts

Have they really? Surely they have a binding contract with Hanwell, otherwise how did the League OK it?

Horace - Yes really, as far as I'm aware there was 'a clause' in the groundshare contract to say that if Tokyngton Manor were struggling to commit financially to having two grounds by the end of 2009 then they would move back to the Viking Sports Ground which Hanwell Town and the SSML agreed to, Jack Sparrow may wish to confirm or deny that.

So you/they are struggling financially?

Horace - No, not as far as I'm aware but obviously groundsharing at two grounds is a big financial commitment for any Club, it would be for Man United let alone Tokyngton Manor

I don't think Man U would have any problem paying for both Reynolds Field and Viking Sports! However, the sum I saw quoted for Reynolds Field was a ridiculously high figure for a club attracting under 10 spectators! What is the point?

Horace - Sport London e Benfica were paying, or should I say were supposed to be paying, 6k a season at Reynolds Field which was peanuts for such a fine facility, Tokyngton Manor weren't paying significantly above that and more of a realistic figure.

Even £6K works out at £285 per game for 21 games. How on earth can you justify paying that sort of figure when only taking twenty quid per game at the gate?? And I heard it was more like £12K that Tik Tok were paying (£570 per game for 21 games)

Outrageous. How much for the Viking Sports ground per game?

Horace - I can assure you that Tokyngton Manor were paying nothing like 12k a season at Hanwell Town, you are misinformed I'm afraid.

As I don't believe that you even know how much was being paid, I'll treat that response with the caution it deserves.

Horace - I really don't know why you are making yourself so busy over this as it's unlike you, shouldn't you be far more interested in how much Sport London e Benfica are paying Haringey Borough, I assume that it's per game in cash as 'Sugar' must have their number from Bob Fisher

He's the Hanwell Town Chairman, you must have met him on a number of occasions when you were still with Hertford Town, happy days!

Horace, take my word for it, he knows not what he says!

The amounts he quotes are far from accurate. But only the naïve will believe anything this guy says and when he's teamed up with the illiterate, the information that comes from this source, whatever appears on this forum, is far from believable!

Special1 - In all seriousness 'my friend' why don't you try to make a New Years resolution to get rid of that huge chip on your shoulder and just concentrate on bringing Sport London e Benfica back up to the very good standard they were in 2007/2008, JackSparrow is right that your energies are being lost elsewhere. Also why don't you swallow your pride and ask Hector Varela to be your right hand man instead of the very average Assistant you currently have, rest assured you would soon be climbing the table.
