Haringey Borough v Fisher - London Senior Cup 2nd Round

Recommended Posts

Sjj2112 - Okay, try this link for size, if you check the bottom line you will see me credited, not that I am looking for any credit. I suppose you will pick holes in that too:

http://www.footballcrests.com/clubs/haringey-borough-fc

And that's the point. If you are not looking for any credit why do you keep posting these links?

What exactly are you trying to prove?

At the end of the day you will still slate the club at every available opportunity.

Sjj2112 - I'm not trying to prove anything, other than the fact that potentially, if the Chairman ran the Club like a Football Club, the sky would be the limit for Haringey Borough. Unfortunately they are not run like a Football Club, the pitch situation proves that point, imagine what Fisher must be thinking

Obviously my holiday preparations have addled my brain, but in what way does you posting a few random links to local history websites demonstrate anything about the way that Haringey Borough is being run?

And if that's what the links were meant to prove why did you trail them all with comments about them proving what you had done for the club?

This whole thread, and many others like it before, has been about you having a go at a club that has had the temerity to sack you. It is a vendetta that I am led to believe has already resulted in you being banned from the another forum.

You really have raised the holding of grudges to another level!

Sjj2112 - Well this was my point, if I can raise the Club's profile and make people in the right places sit up and take notice why can't anybody else be bothered

Nothing you have posted in this thread in any way demonstrates that you have raised the profile of the club.

Sjj2112 - Really, well what about when Sir Trevor Brooking's PA rang me personally and asked if there was anything the FA could do for Haringey Borough, is that not high profile enough for you

As I said before, I have no doubt that you have had some high profile dealings.

The point is that you keep providing links which you claim proves these things when patently they don't.

Sjj2112 - Well that's an understatement, I was rubbing shoulders with some pretty influential people but 'Sugar' just wasn't interested unless it was his idea and he could take the credit for it, it was arrogance of the highest order

You can tell from Fisher's Website that they are totally exasperated by this whole sorry experience and they just want to get the game on at Champion Hill on 23 December, Haringey Borough have paid the ultimate price for not making more of an effort to get the tie played as traffic south of the river that evening will be horrendus:

Sport London E Benfica of the SSMFL Division One who ground-share at Coles Park haven't played a home game since the 23rd September (coming up to nearly 3 months) and are next scheduled to play Holmer Green on the 2nd January 2010.

The Cold End - That's a great write up, I told Special1 that Sport London e Benfica wouldn't play a home game until the middle of February at the very earliest but I don't think he took me seriously

RefOffRef - I wouldn't be surprised if Special1 is ruing the day Sport London e Benfica made the decision to groundshare with Haringey Borough as it has been nothing but trouble for him from day one. You will recall the absolutely atrocious scenes in only their first game at Coles Park when a pitch invasion took place and, as The Cold End pointed out, the Club haven't played a home game since 23 September and are unlikely to do so for some considerable time yet.

You couldn't be further from the truth Mr Rhodes. Haringey Borough and their staff have been nothing more than welcoming. If we haven't played at Coles Park recently, this is not a problem as we will just have to catch up with our fixtures later on in the season.

You should be more concerned closer to home whether Tokyngton Manor have indeed played their last game at Hanwell Town after how many games? At least we were there 3 seasons before our loyalty was attributed to be worth nothing!

Special1 - Well it's common knowledge that Tokyngton Manor have played their last game at Reynolds Field but that was by choice and not a decision made by Hanwell Town.

Have they really? Surely they have a binding contract with Hanwell, otherwise how did the League OK it?

I suspect this is not the last we have heard of this.

Horace - Yes really, as far as I'm aware there was 'a clause' in the groundshare contract to say that if Tokyngton Manor were struggling to commit financially to having two grounds by the end of 2009 then they would move back to the Viking Sports Ground which Hanwell Town and the SSML agreed to, Jack Sparrow may wish to confirm or deny that.
