Current situation

Utterly fed up at the moment with the situation at the football club. First of all lets look at the club, we apparently owe unpaid bonuses to a lot of players according to the local press and these players either have left or will not return until the money owed has not been paid.

 

Yet this unpaid money must be peanuts compared to the money it would take to build a sports stadium for the football club, so if the club can't pay the monies owed to players, I fail to see how it can raise the large sums it takes to build a new stadium.

 

We have been outside the town hall, in the streets, posting leaflets in letter boxes to try and get a stadium, and lets face it even if we did get the land for the stadium what hope is there for the capital being raised to build this is the bonuses owed to players can't even be paid? Can't help to feel that we are being made to look stupid at the moment when we are campaigning for something that the club can't really afford if they can't afford the pay the players?

 

So far no ground, 4 players left that are known of and two that are considering their futures at the club - oh and no manager and no return to training (late again). We need someone to come in and save us...

The thing is, as much as I don't want Deaner to be at the club, I don't see a replacement waiting in his place to take over.

 

Why he hasn't handed control over to either the council or the supporters so at least the club can plan for next season (appoint a manager, sort out debts, get training started) and get budgets sorted, is beyond me. Didn't he resign at the back end of last season? If so, why hasn't he gone?

 

It seems to be the same old thing, summer after summer, season after season whilst Deaner has been in charge,

 

The facts are there. Unpaid players complaining to every assosciation that will listen, outstanding bills, poor-non existent PR, poor selection of managers. The list goes on. About the only thing he has done in our favour has been to save the club from extinction back in 98, but apart from that, the guy doesn't have a clue.

It's all right - problem solved just had an email through telling me i can get $2000 for stuffing envelopes!

I'm surprised you spotted it in amongst all the '****** Enlargements' and other similar things you probably get!

Yeah I keep those ones in a seperate folder just incase, but i'm told 16 inches is enough anyway <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif" alt="" />
