i fail to see the point of a discussion forum where discussion is frowned upon.

cantos - no fans from any other club make decisions on here - unless you refer to other admins / global mods. These people, whilst fans of other clubs, only have the best interests of the site at heart and will only step in when rules and guidelines of the site are broken. They do this to prevent too many law suits being brought!

 

Hx has always attracted its fair share of nutters - it is very easy to hide on the internet and pretend to be someone else. it goes with the territory. At the same time I am sure much publicity has been gained over the years via the internet and business transacted.

Sorry One in the tree,and Cantos hope we can welcome you back soon,... im not aware of any deletings, but far to say, items only get deleted if profanity is used or, someone is being verbally attacked,.or constantly annoying...we adhered to guidlines, and try and keep these forums as pleasent as possible, i dont think your own fans want there dirty washing aired in public, so not only your fans read it, the whole wide webb can 2, its not good for buisness, you seemed to have regular meetings and the 1 or 2 (new) posters have i believed been warned,of there conduct, neither have been banned,that im aware of, and know doubt hopefully are up to date with the latest news concerning your club, as for other clubs who decide on what you say Cantos, not sure myslef or MB have done that, we act out independantly, and we will ''talk to forum mods first if need be before we action anything, if not we will tell them afterward of any action taken,..I like HX as a club, i was there at your Peterbro game, and met some great folk up there.... long may it contiune

I'll make my feelings clear for what they're worth

 

First of all I do like using this forum, no critism there.

 

In the case of the future of Hx, I feel there would be bitter invididuals who would use posts on that subject against the club, so I can understand not posting on that one, especially as developments are at an embryonic stage. I certainly don't feel the slanging match we've seen on here before today helps anyone. I personally have faith in the people at the club who I think have the best interests of the club at heart.

 

There does seem however a propensity for the mods to hit the delete key a little bit too easily. I've had posts deleted where no profanity was used and I certainly didn't consider them to be liableous. Perhaps a better balance is required.

Fck me,calm down guys.

Anyone who was at the meeting last week,knows that there was some sensitive information that just couldn't be put on the forum,just yet.These things will become clear

The meeting was called to find people who wanted to become shareholders,when the club is sold by GB

It (unfortunatly) happens that as well as the basic share issue being discussed,there was some interesting talk about the future of the football club that will become apparant over the next few weeks/months etc

Any hornchurch fan can wander over to a game and speak to the people in charge and they will tell them the situation,but because of the delicate nature of proceedings,certain things are best left off here at the moment.

Just for the record,i deleted one post on friday night,which was very very offensive,apart from that i haven't deleted anything for well over 2 months,haven't needed to as its become so boring on here until now.

I don't believe in deleting whole threads,but locking them is always a better option.Have not been on here since 3pm yesterday and this is the first post i have read since then so god knows whats underneath here.I was only alerted to some of this by one of the dagenham fans who said it was like a bomb site on here.Perhaps i will comment more once i have read the whole forum

It seems odd to me that we knock Romford for trying to keep everyone in the dark and then we do the same.The way I am starting to see it is,Romford are in the ascendancy and we are heading back to the ESL.Apparently there is a rumour going around that Romford have a couple of rich money men interested in putting money into their club and they would like to use the urchins as their reserve side.

I couldn't make the meeting but I have had feedback and its obvious the situation is dire.It seems to me that instead of stopping free speech we should be more open about our problems and then we would get more help and symphony.When I suggested that Alan Finns letter in the Romford Recorder had some merit I was slagged off by the loudmouth vocal minority and now it seems we will probably end up back in the ESL and begging Romford for a groundshare agreement.Only a few weeks ago we held all the trump cards and now thanks to our own stupidity we have handed the initiative to Romford.When Dartford got their new ground attendances went up fourfold and we could have had the same (which would have helped us pay off our depts) but thanks to the stupid few who chose to put personel anymosity before the very future of our club we are left fighting for our lives.
