Bognor 3, MFC 3

The management obviously know what they are talking about. However, it may take some time for our problems to be sorted out given what they inherited. Attracting players down here on a more modest budget may well be a problem so it looks like there will be no quick fix. As for playing winning and entertaining football, only a handful of clubs in the whole country can claim that. I'll settle for Kinnear era efficiency thanks very much.

Entertaining football is always a plus, but much as I hate to admit it, if you need hoof it and hope to keep us safe then do it. Having said that I am much more confidant in going forward with the team structure now, just need to sort out the confidence/defence so the 3-3 draws turn into 3-0 wins.

I have had my moans about Lloyd Blackman here, I still think that maybe he goes down too easily, but he is a goal scorer and I could never condone abusing one of your own players at a match. Unfortunately we seem to have some fans who no matter what a player does it will never ever be good enough, they just take a dislike to a player and will give them stick no matter what. I get the feeling that even if Lloyd was scoring 3 goals a game this fan would still be complaining he didn't score 4 a game.

As Joseba has said in the past some fans have to have a hate target each season (thankfully these fans are only a handful). Dean Standen was one, Dan Stubbs (at times last season) and now it seems it may be Lloyd. I talk to Lloyd on the team coach and believe you me you couldn't find a more committed player than him to the Margate cause!

Do you know what probally pi$$es off Lloyd most at the moment is that HIS goal on Saturday is credited to AJ because of an incompetent match announcer (NOT Wellsie) who said it was AJ.

LLOYD BLACKMAN scored the second goal on Saturday.

To be fair the the guys at Bognor, there were so many players in the box, that even from the half way line, it was difficult to see who scored. Anyone that has listend to my commentary will know that I wasn't sure until after the game! So at the risk of making it sound like PA guys sticking together, I can assure you that none of us gets the name wrong deliberately, I just have a bit more of an excuse than most being stuck behind the goal.

I think the club should invest in a crane, dangle the PA box over the halfway line so wellsie has a 360 degree aerial view of the pitch;and then for half time entertainment, wellsie should escape from the PA Box a la David Blane.

If Margate lose, wellsie should be left dangling there until the next game

Although I wasn't at the Waltham Abbey game, I was at the Bognor game, and I still am unsure as to who this so-called mystery 'player-abuser' (for want of a better expression) is. We were all standing pretty close together and Lloydy's gestures seemed to be aimed at the whole set of fans, not one in particular. It also seems pretty ironic to me that many are criticising someone for singling out one player for abuse, yet in doing so are, in fact, singling out one supporter!

Why does any fan feel the need to abuse a player out loud is the question I would like to ask? Am sure they wouldn't do the same thing if they met him after the game!
