expect a goal feast for any team who meets Southill who play in the step 7 bedfordshire league and have won 2 matches from 11, N.H. Who runs the competition couldnt run a bath, expect the 2009/10 final to be played in April 2017.

Any person that gives up his spare time to make sure an old competition like this is still up and running should be given a medal. The same applies to any volunteers in non league footie.Without them there won't be any football at all :applaus:

The competition is as 'up and running' as the Queen Mother, anyone know the wherabouts of the Essex Thameside Trophy a silver galleon valued at £30,000, ask DB if you can get him to actually answer his phone or reply to his emails, something which no club secretary could get him to do for six months last season.

I'm sorry darling but we don't enter competitions like Thameside Trophy. The East Anglian Cup is 106 years old and outside of FA Competitions, covers the largest geographical area of any competition entered into by member clubs. In spite of the wide area covered the fixtures are all arranged by mutual consent between the clubs and thanks are due to them for their sporting spirit and give and take. The East Anglian Cup Competition gives its clubs a chance of meeting opponents with whom they would not otherwise come in contact and many new friendships are made and it is hoped that this happy and fruitful need will continue for many years to come.Long live the East Anglian Cup! :coffee (2):

Ok i may be slow today, but if the groups are already drawn what is the draw on the 12/12 about, is that the knockout stage?

and with Burnham, Clacton, Halstead etc nearer to you why have you got Royston, Biggleswade etc.

Apologies for not understanding....

There will be 4 groups of four played on a knock out basis, the final will be between one team each from group 1 and 2. there will be two regional finals a group 1 final and group 2 final, its absolutely chaotic, for example the group one final will be between brentwood/hullbridge/stansted/tilbury versus southill (yeah right)/biggleswade/hoddeston/royston.
