6 Rebels join Boreham Wood!

Slough may need to start recruiting players from scratch, as the following players have officially signed for Boreham Wood:

 

C.James, D.Palmer,R.Browne,B.Bubb,R.Williams and S.Winston

 

More may soon follow as players are still owed a lot of money.

Palmer, Browne, Bubb & Williams were all expected to leave. Only bothered by the loss of Deano out of those and considering he works for Browne (I think), it comes as no surprise.

 

CJ, bit of a surprise he's gone being a local lad and all that, but not too bothered.

 

Sammy, the saga continues! He's left Slough, but denies having joined the 'Wood. Sad to see him go, but very, very, very happy to see the back of Rickeeeee. First name on the team sheet at the Wood now poor sods...

 

Without doubt, unless Deaner pulls his finger out (No public statements to say everything is all clear yet...) more players will follow. At least let us take control of the club even temporarily so we can install a manager and sort out players and training etc. etc. before we have nothing left at all which is the way we're heading yet again.

 

Same old Martyn, same old problems, same old Slough Town. Won't have a club left soon if things continue like this...

On their website they have released this statement, no mention of Dean Palmer or Ricky Browne, but they have signed a player called Bryan Bubb!

Look’s like the person who supplied the facts about Sammy Winston not signing for Boreham Wood wasn’t very accurate, was he.

No not really because:

 

- You can't sign Ryman forms until July 1st and apparently he'd signed earlier. Unless he's under contract, which I presume he is not

 

- Sammy told a reporter from the Observer in a telephone conversation that he had not signed.

Can't say I'm really bothered about those who've left (Sammy excepted, although far from irreplaceable). What we need to hear now though is what's being done to convince the rest to stay with us for another season and why it's going to be different from the past five seasons.

Bit of a pitty to see them go, but if you had to lose some of the players from the squad they are a few who you would mention.
