Your Choice For Manager???

Sensible answers eh?????? Well, given that Mr Browne has established us on a downward spiral and Mr Deaner seems to like employing useless managers, so here starts the campaign to bring back Les Briley...... what a genius.

I disagree with Gilkes, but not on the basis of his managerial inexperience or ability. Its more to do with the fact that his relationship with the fans is patchy, certainly as a player on some occasions he was liked while the rest of the time things were certainly more strained. I'd prefer to see somebody new come in and the relationship with supporters can start from scratch.

I think Gilkes because:

1) When he was injured he did wery well coaching the players from the sidelines - offering encouragement and ideas

2) He's well known, so hopefully we'd get more press

3) Has good contacts from the professional game

4) Young players listen to him as he's played at a high level

5) He knows the club

I know Michael had an indifferent relationship with the fans originally, but after the St leonards game I think that changed.

Gilkes swore at some of the fans behind the goal at St. Leonards as they were getting on his back. He scored twice and apologised at the end of the game.

Has the potential to be a very good manager as he's gained his coaching badges through the FA which can only be a good thing. Don't agree about him knowing ex-pro's being a good thing though, we've been there before and been stung. We could do with bringing through the youth players through a youth setup. Surely that is the way forward??

Also, going on your five points you've made there Chris, Graham Roberts fits all those points.....

I don't mean bringing in ex pro's I mean his name might bring in youngsters released by league clubs.

As for Roberts - he probably speands too much, but I was one of the few Slough fans disappointed he left as we played some good football under him.

How about Jimmy Quinn the Lewes manager ! He quit them at the end of the Season ! He knows the game and unlike Browne he knows how to win games
