Amanda Knox - Guilty or Innocent

Recommended Posts

And he's back again. Doesn't want to talk about anything and yet he can't keep away.

OK brounmoney, what do you think of "Manda's cowardly decision NOT to return for the re-trial?

Ok well I guess you are trying to bait me back in so you can agrue with me. I guess I will take it.

Alright so let's assume for a minute she did the crime. If she was the type of person to do something like that then I would assume she would not show back up for a trial if she did not have to. That would be kind of dumb. Which I guess this is the answer you are looking for. She did it, and her not showing up is proving she is guilty.

Ok let's for another minute say she did not do the crime. She wants to clear her name, but with the way her image has been trashed I can't see how things would go so well.

I don't think her not showing up for the trial says anything other than that is what her lawyers told her to do. If she does not have to go back why would she? Yes she could go and have her named cleared, but she can do that from home. On the other hand she could be convicted of a crime she may not have done. I say this because I was not there, so I can't be 100% sure she did or did not do it. She said all along she was going to do what her lawyers advised her to do. I think you may be looking too much into this.

I doubt very much that she has much say in what is going to happen now. If she attends she can at least defend herself, if she doesn't they and she is found guilty then there'll be an extradition request that the US will have to honour.

Loosely - Why would the US have to honour any extradition request

Maybe so. Maybe she should be there to defend herself. I don't know. I just know she said she was going to do what her lawyers advised her to do, and well I guess that was stay in Seattle. Maybe that is the wrong decision, but that is why lawyers are paid a lot more money than me. They have to make those hard calls, and they know better than Amanda or any of us what should be done.

Well for a start Rhodesly the US and Italy have a Reciprocal Extradition Treaty. If the US wouldn't extradite 'Manda if she were a convicted murderer it wouldn't be reciprocal anymore would it? It just so happens that the US seem to rather need the cooperation of Italy in extraditing wanted and convicted criminals back to the US on a constant basis.

Next daft question?

I think the Re-trial is good for getting us to 100 pages at least!

There's only been one American idiot of note in recent years - George Walker Bush.

Shame on the American public for voting him in twice.

Sarah Palin?

Bill O'Reilly?

George Soros?

Alan Greenspan?

Lady Gaga?

Dick Cheney?

The Italian Court of Cassation has not only subjected an innocent American citizen to double jeopardy but has become a Star Chamber which determines guilt by decree. The Court of Cassation contrary to its legal mandate has evaluated evidence in the Knox Sollecito case instead of merely ruling on the procedure of the Appeals court. In its demented opinion the Court of Cassation has told the lower court how to obtain a guilty verdict without actually hearing any witnesses or any experts evaluating the evidence.  This is the notorious Star Chamber type of procedure.

The Court of Cassation has ths revealed itself to be a pernicious anti-American den of iniquity. This debased sink of iniquity and its satellite tribunals should not be dignified with either the presence of Ms. Knox or the respect and consideration of decent, thinking Americans.
