I know the catering staff had to count the silver after Ian. Even First and Business class on the flight unusually had plastic cutlery in place of the usual!!

A 'contact' of mine, allied to the Home Office informed me that when she was 'welcomed' into the V.I.P. lounge, she was told that she would NOT be welcomed back into this country by HMG.

An interesting article and Blog comments on the reasoning behind why learned Judge Claudio Pratillo Hellmann and his trusted jurors acquitted Amanda and Raffaele Sollecito as well as sensibly upholding Amanda's dubious conviction for slandering Patrick Lumumba. He rightly said that Amanda acted under severe stress and not malice, she will still unfortunately have to pay Lumumba’s legal fees and a heavy fine however Judge Hellmann sympathized with her lawyers who pleaded that she was just a young woman in a foreign country who naively did not understand the gravity of the situation when she pointed the finger at Lumumba:

LOL - bet the prosecution did not know about these warrants that were outstanding for her. I bet she did not even declare them when she visited Europe.

 

There is never any smoke without fire.

 

Of course any criminal is likely to keep offending - especially if they think they have got away with it once.

 

What is the betting that Rhodes either ignores this or claims she is innocent of all charges, including failure to declare previous arrests to gain entry to Europe.

Loosely - Like I've said many times before if I call something white you will say it's black and vice versa, if I had started this thread, some two years ago, by saying Amanda was guilty as charged and killed Meredith Kercher you would have said she was innocent. There's little doubt you are a knowledgable, well versed, individual but you clearly have a chip on your shoulder as wide as the Grand Canyon.

Loosely - Take the Akmal Shaikh thread then for example, there was never a more clear cut case of Shaikh being found guilty of heroin smuggling as he was caught red handed with 4kg of the deadly drug at Urumqi airport in China yet you still argued that he shouldn't be executed by the no-nonsense Chinese authorities.

Well Rhodesy, while I thoroughly appreciate the attempt to change the subject can I remind you of the Phone Hacking Scandal thread which you started in which you claimed that nothing was proved against the News of the World or it's journos and that you would carry on buying your copy (lol) and that it was just a storm in a teacup which would blow over in double quick fashion (hahahahahahahahaha). And may I obligingly point out that I resisted the urge to assist you that time also in you making a fool of yourself - which quite frankly, and I don't mean this in any nasty way at all - is just about the only thing you excel at.

 

Now, to assist you in bringing this thread back on topic by a roundabout route perhaps you can answer while you so vehemently argued that lil ol' 'Manda was a US citizen and the archaic Italian judiciary had no right to charge and try her in the first place why you didn't argue the same for poor old Akmal who was mentally ill and taken out without warning and executed by the brutal chinese authorities?
