Amanda Knox - Guilty or Innocent

You hate, sorry, detest to be proved wrong don't you and you were convinced Amanda Knox would lose her appeal last Monday, it must have been a huge let down for you to see her boarding that flight at Rome's Fiumicino Airport on Tuesday morning and arriving in Seattle in the early hours of Wednesday morning our time to a hero's welcome.

Me being wrong is nothing new but maturity is not minding which I don't however we all know that you are not seen for dust on threads where you've been found in error.

 

Knox, we will see won't we? Even in absentia she may yet be found guilty in a new appeal by italian prosecutors to the Supreme Court. Somehow I don't think the story is over just yet.

 

Bit like you changing the subject after proposing an entirely without evidence theory and outing your own racism. Strange innit?

RalphC - Er, hello, the slander charge is totally seperate from Amanda's wrongful arrest, charge, conviction and imprisonment for Meredith's murder, the same goes for when she accused the Italian Police of violent conduct whilst she was being interrogated.

 

How do you come to that conclusion?

 

She may have got away with murder through lack of anough evidence to convict, but she has still got a criminal record and as such will need to declare that on any official forms in the future. She will also require a visa to go to many countries outside the USA.

 

I do not call that coming out of this clean.

 

Or do you not consider a 3 year jail term important?

 

I suspect a few envelopes were passed by people behind her to others to ensure that her appeal was upheld. However they were not expecting another charge to be brought and for her to be guilty of that.

 

Of course there may still be another appeal, so until that is fully dismissed she is not fully free is she?

One minute people are saying that the Italian judicial system is fantastic and the minute she wins her appeal it's now the money that got her off.

As for her having a conviction,yes she has but it's not important now and not worth people scoring points off each other on this thread which is pretty much dead

RalphC – I thought I had already answered your loaded questions, Amanda may have a criminal record however it’s not for murder is it, once the dust settles following her celebrated return to Seattle I’m sure her lawyers will get down to work and get the ridiculous conviction for slandering Patrick Lumumba quashed, like I said I’m sure he had something to do with Meredith Kercher’s murder or knew Rudy Guede.

Another interesting article from ABC News following Amanda's so called 'foray' yesterday where she ventured out for the first time since returning to Seattle. The chocolate bar and tooth paste was no publicity stunt as she definitely needed those items, interestingly one of Amanda's last acts in prison was the ritual of snapping her toothbrush in half and carrying it outside the walls of the Capanne jail, where she had been caged for so long, before throwing it as far as she could:

Out of respect for the Kercher family who still don't really know what really happened, and more importantly will never receive the justice they deserve I hope Amanda Knox keeps a very low profile for the rest of her life and is never seen in public again. She payed the price for her lies by spending time in prison, and should now stop playing the victim, because the real victims are the Kerchers who lost a much loved member of their family.

Another interesting article giving an insight into Amanda's celebrated release from prison and return to the US. Following her dramatic evening Courtroom acquital she was immediately taken back to Capanne Prison to collect her belongings, during the day the inmates had hung clothing and bedding out of the prison windows as a sign of solidarity for Amanda and they were later heard cheering loudly just after the verdict:

RalphC - But Amanda isn't a convicted criminal in the true sense of the word is she, she was just an innocent abroad minding her own business and unfortunately got caught up in the terrible murder of her flatmate having to endure a horrific four year fight to prove her innocence, it could have been anyone but it just so happened to be Amanda Knox.
