Amanda Knox - Guilty or Innocent

Recommended Posts

I don't post too much on this thread because it always seems to upset you.

I think Amanda would be a silly girl to count her chickens.

It’s amazing that this thread has reached 22,050 views so far with Amanda’s release from prison imminent. Brownmoney appears to have gone AWOL, he was good value particularly from a US based perspective.

Here's an interesting Blog link folks giving ten simple reasons why Amanda must go free although we haven't got long to wait now have we, eight days to be exact:

This article says it all really, Amanda Knox was just a young wide eyed foreign exchange student who, unfortunately as it turned out, decided to go to Italy but then her life was to change forever when she was suddenly arrested, charged, convicted and imprisoned for the murder of her flat mate which she played no part in whatsoever. Anyway at least she will be free by the end of this month, in just under two weeks time, and can hopefully get her life back on track with the help of her devoted family and friends:

You can hardly expect the Seattle based tabloids to have a balanced view.

Hookey - Well fair play if that is the case, look how the press over here are treating Shrien Dewani for example for the murder of his wife which he didn't commit, they should be supporting him

Just to repeat yet again what I have posted before - you are entitled to your opinion like anyone else, but you have no idea whether she was present or not, or what part,if any, she took in the murder, or subsequent attempt to mislead the police.

It has always been held by most authorities that just being present while someone else murdered someone can be enough to attract a charge of murder, and indeed our own flawless legal system had seen many people hung for "just being there". (or for stealing a sheep).

I believe that Amanda and her boyfriend were on the premises when Meredith was killed, but took no part in the actual murder. But that's just my opinion.

I don't think Shrien Dewani killed his wife either, but I do believe he arranged it. Just my opinion of course.

Hookey – Why on earth would Dewani arrange to have his wife killed when the couple had only married days before in a lavish ceremony and were on a fairytale honeymoon in South Africa, surely if he didn’t want to marry her he would have just called off the wedding.

He didn't need the money though, he was already a millionaire through his lucrative Care Home business

Italian prosecutors have urged a jury considering an appeal by two convicted murderers of British student Meredith Kercher to remember her family.

US student Amanda Knox and her former boyfriend, Italian Raffaele Sollecito, deny any wrongdoing and are appealing against their 2009 convictions.

In a closing speech, prosecutors said an "obsessive" media campaign to free Knox had distracted jurors.

"All clues converge towards the only possible result... guilty," they said.

Before a packed courtroom, prosecutor Giancarlo Costagliola denounced the media campaign that made "everyone feel like the parents" of Knox and Sollecito.

"As you make your decision, I wish that you jurors feel a little bit like the parents of Meredith Kercher, a serious, studious girl whose life was taken by these two kids from good families," he said.

Doesn't that say it all....
