Amanda Knox - Guilty or Innocent

Recommended Posts

Brounmoney - Were you aware that Amanda took the stand earlier today (tuesday) to rebut the accusations that she slandered the Italian Police during the course of her murder trial, when she claimed that they had been over zealously violent towards her during the lengthy interrogation process. She claimed that she was cuffed on the back of her head as well as threatened with 30 years in prison if she continued to 'lie' about what happened, I can't even begin to imagine what the poor girl went through can you.

A very interesting link whereby Google have closed down on request a hugely popular Blog, created by an individual called Frank Sfarzo,

criticising the 'not fit for purpose' justice system in Italy and its mishandling of the entire Amanda Knox case, as well as incompetent Head Prosecutor Giuliano Mignini. Make sure you are sitting down when you read it:

Bulletin folks, Amanda made a brief statement in Court today (saturday) at the last of her appeal hearings, independant experts now have a further six weeks to examine the contested DNA evidence which means that a verdict is unlikely now before the autumn. Dressed smartly in a beige satin top and black trousers, with her hair tied back in a ponytail, Amanda took several deep breaths as she addressed the Court with her supportive Father Curt and best friend Madison Paxton in attendance. The Court gave the so called experts, carrying out the review, until 30 June to finish collecting all the information and documents on the flawed forensic tests originally conducted and to report their findings to the Court on 25 July, put a marker in your diaries:

Here's an interesting link folks, even Italy's Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi has indicated that Amanda is innocent and that the Italian justice system are a waste of space, that says it all really. As is pointed out in the link, not one single piece of physical evidence implicates Amanda and Raffaele Sollecito, there is absolutely no sign of her anywhere in the murder room despite the fact that the victim was losing liters of blood. Furthermore despite the fact that four people were supposedly wrestling around in a space the size of a postage stamp, not one single drop of blood ever got on Amanda or Sollecito, that is is a physical impossibility:

Fill your boots folks, this link reliably informs us that a letter is winging its way to the US President, namely Barack Obama, 'as we speak' and copied to all members of Congress, requesting in no uncertain terms that an investigation takes place due to the failure and incompetence of US Consular Officials to fulfill their obligations to safeguard the rights of a young vulnerable American student under flawed Italian law:

Here's a fascinating link folks, a highly regarded DNA expert, Greg Hampikian, who is a Professor of genetics and biology at Boise State University, says that the Prosecutor's story didn't fit the evidence in Amanda's murder trial in the slightest:

Check out this interesting nine minute Youtube link folks spelling out the whys and wherefores as to why Amanda is totally innocent whilst rightly suggesting that she was perhaps a little naive, following the murder when under investigation, to give the incompetent Italian Police, who were desperate for a quick arrest, the false impression that she had something to do with it:

Thanks Rhodes. "Keen interest" is stretching it a bit, in your usual hyperbolic style! Nor is "enjoy" the right description.

That really didn't help me to decide whether Sollecito and Knox were implicated, especially as it leaned heavily on the opinions of defence "experts". Clearly, had a similar programme been produced with a prosecution bias, a very different story would have been told. I do think that the verdict was "unsafe" though.

Rather surprised Rhodesy isn't all over this one like a rash. Seems five different convicted criminals are giving evidence that they know someone else did it (none of them actually confessing - shame!).

The catch? They all have different stories.

You couldn't make it up. Or could you Chris Mellas?

Comment Cliffy or is this one a "not with a bargepole thanks" article?
