A serious anorak from another's Forum ended up here yesterday after attending Marsh Rangers v Indian Gymkhana in the Middlesex County League at 11.00 in Hayes unless it was Football Man or Sjj2112:

A fairly spartan clubhouse, but a welcoming club. First I've seen with a Christmas tree this year. Plenty of parking nearby, but it is a pay and display. Their is only a small stand at the ground, plenty for the crowds here. At the front is a single row of bench seating, with a three steps of terrace behind. Due to the rain, a good proportion of the crowd spent the game here.

 

A very poor game, despite Harpenden starting reasonably brighter not much came of it. They did look the better side, but Brache were more committed. Either way aside from a couple of disallowed goals the keepers never looked troubled. A thoroughly deserved 0-0 which neither side looked like winning. Very few attempts at goal and most crosses seemed to end up behind it.

 

The home #12 did have a few decent moments when he was on the pitch and sent in a low cross which was converted five minutes into injury time. Not sure where they came from.
