This is the third game i've seen under MB. Definate policy of attacking footbal which is how Gate traditionally play. Under CK we were more defensive but always had proven goalscorers. MB has a style i like compared to our previous managers though TY did keep us in the league(credit there). Eight for and eight against says it all really. A lot of improvement but still lots to do. Ok we all know that there are problems in defense. We know we had a defence that had never played together before yesterday. First 60 minutes was solid and very positive, but even listening you could tell that for all the forward play and good attacking possesion we still need to score more. Our top scorer this season is only 2 goals off of last seasons finishing top scorer, but we still need to score me to win matches. Once the first goal goes in we lose all confidence, before the scored I couldnt see them scoring, after they scored the first I couldnt see us winning.

 

So summing up, more time for the defence to work together, more goals from people other than Lloyd Blackman, and MORE CONFIDENCE that we can win.

To be fair Fred, Lloyd is not the only scorer for us, we have scored goals from all over the squad over the past few weeks. I think in the last three matches we have had scorers in Blackman, Cliff, Healy, Stubbs, Joseph and Robinson, so it is not a one man show.

Individually I didn't think the new lads did badly at all, given the circumstances. And Harrow are always capable of finding the net. Interesting to read that Stuart Robinson had a blinder for Grays at Mansfield.

Spot on Derek. Had we continued to play the way we did in that first half we would surely have added to our score long before they scored. Frustrating wasn't it!
