Best and Worse Grounds

Recommended Posts

Defo the worst pitch to play on is Welwyn Garden, played on there last night! We played on the Kentish Town pitch the week before, i thought (as far as pitches were concerned) things couldn't get worst than Kentish Towns but i was mistaken. Although, Kentish Town do the best grub by a country mile!

I know they used to in 2007/2008 but I'm not sure that is the case anymore

Well based on saturdays Sausage Sandwiches, Egg Sandwiches and Bacon Sandwiches, i WOULD say so.

Saf06 - Kentish Town probably just pushed the boat out on Saturday because it was Broxbourne Borough and they knew full well that it would get out however why do Club's always religiously make egg sandwiches or rolls as nobody ever touches them

Saf06 - Fried egg is okay but Club's normally do egg mayonaise because it's cheap however nobody likes it, what sort of spread do they put on at Broxbourne Borough these days, it used to be like feeding the five thousand

Ive been to Broxbourne thats a funny ground, they lock people in the bar so you cant get into the ground, the ground seems to be half finished and no loos inside the ground as well.

Saf thanks for your comments pleased you enjoyed the food.

Rhodes how would you know what food is served or not served at the Copthall Stadium? I also think you will find your under 18's appreciated the food that was served to them (also the help that was given to the injured player by the KTFC officials...good job they were there else I dont know what would have happened to him).

If at anytime you feel like coming to copthall and sampling the food that is there be my guest.

Otherwise shut up and talk about things you have knowledge about rather than talking the crap that you do when you dont have any idea as to what is going on at Kentish Town Football Club.

Saf06, Rhodes was once served his own testicles after upsetting the owners of a Greek restaurant on this forum. I prefered the double egg bap with a dash of HP.

I'm currently an acting Official which allows me into Boardrooms, I think the SSML is one of the best League's around when it comes to after match hospitality however the most unusual food I've had at a game was probably at Hillingdon Borough a few years back, they have an Indian Chairman and it was the full monty, various Bhajee's, Samosa's, Nan Bread, Bombay potatoes you name it, they really pushed the boat out

What grounds have passed for step 4 in the SSML? who owns the Greek restaurant and what club are they associated with?

Do many clubs groundshare in the SSML?

You should be asking what clubs intend to apply for promotion to Step 4. Even if they have the necessary E Grade (and it seems some toilet block construction may be required at one ground at least) clubs need to have applied for consideration for promotion by midnight on December 31st 2009. They then need an E Grade by close of play on March 31st 2010 (unless they already have one of course).

Right thanks, how many saets do they need at step 4?

I think porta cabins can be used as toilets.

An interim Grade (E) is required for entry to Step 4. That requires covered accommodation for 250 of which at least 150 need to be seats. Portaloo type structures are perfectly adequate for grading purposes as long as they are mains connected and comply with the grading requirement for the number of individual facilities plus hand drying.

Promoted clubs have until the following March 31st to achieve a Grade D, otherwise be relegated at the end of that season. At Grade D covered accommodation is required for 300 with 150 seated (with one stand holding no less than 100 seats)

Sorry to keep harping on about the famous 2007/2008 season when, sadly, you weren't involved but Kentish Town only had one or two postponements at home that season. The pitch seemed to get progressively worse the following season when you rejoined the Club and it must have been really frustrating for you always being all dressed up with nowhere to go every other Saturday between November and March
