Windsor 3-0

Great performance once again and yet again created alot of decent chances. Hungerford played the offside trap alot and at this level you have to be VERY good to get away with it for 90 mins. Towards the end it seemed like their defence had just given up!

Congrats to Dave Peirce on his first league goal for the club and a goal each for chenns and Vic isnt bad going! Great banter behind the goal tonight! Still laughing now at when the Hungerford manager shouted "keep it tight" after they let in the 3rd. "Yeah that's what you gotta do when your 3-0 down" came the reply. I dont think he liked that judging by what followed out of his mouth!! Oh well! Onwards and upwards!

Massive game saturday. Lets keep the momentum going!

Again it was another very professional performance. First half was quite even although we did come closest to scoring with the free kick and Chenns clipping the bar.

Second half was totally different. Victor came on and played down the left hand side for a while which made a huge difference, their defence didn't seem to know how to deal with him so they just backed off and let him run at them every time. Hungerford seemed to be trying to emulate the Arsenal off side trap of the late 80's but with little success. The Linesman had given Hungerford the benefit of the doubt on several occasions; it was almost inevitable that we would get through sooner of later. In the end I'm not sure what happened to their defence, they just seemed to disappear every time we went forward! All the goals were well taken and it was great to see Dave Pearce score, he's looked really lively when he's come on in the last 2 games.

As per usual Bully had a good game in goal. In fact the whole defence has looked pretty solid recently. I though Ryan Wharton was probably man of the match last night, although everyone played well again.

I think this has to be the best SQUAD of players we've had at Windsor in the 25 years I've been going down the Meadow, I can't recall us ever having so many good players sat on the bench!

Have to agree with everything on the previous two posts. A robust and satisfactory first half was followed by a seconf half full of flair and attacking football that would destroy any team in our league.

We have a few tough games coming up, Saturday is massive, from Totton's website they are as up for it as we are, a big crowd as well I reckon at 250+. I just hope we play as well as we can and they have a bad day and we get all three points, but a draw is not the end of the world. It is after all just another game and still al ong way to go.

Then Bracknell and Scotty the Stag!!!! Can we overcome our Bracknell Demons and with the help of Scotty sink them with a fine display.

Then VT away, another toughy, but we shouldn't fear anyone home or away. We are putting in much more consistent performances and although the next few weeks will test us we should relish these games and hopefully we can come out of December still top of the league.

But last night was a good display and the players should be proud of a job well done, no one player looked poor. I would say Victor made a clear difference, we clearly have strength in depth and this is where we fell down last year. With good cover in midfield and attack, hopefully we can keep it going to the end of the season and finally go up.

Bring on Saturday!!!!!!

ps, how good was the terracing behind the gola in the second half, when w scored i thought Micky was going to go through it, the boards were all over the place!!

A very tough month ahead indeed ( then again i'm sure i said that at the start of november!) but i'm fully confident we can beat any side in this league. I dont think there are many sides able to match us even at 75%. Play at 100% against Totton and i think we'll win it but it will be a tough tough battle!

We do indeed have a great squad. Victor playing on the wing really worked if you ask me. They had no answer from him in that postion!

Is it saturday yet!? :futbolbud2:
