What Team? What Manager?

First friendly 26th July - no manager and only half a team.

Will someone get a grip and work out a plan of action.

If we are still in this disorganised state at the begining of August for our leauge games we will be droping points that we may need later in the season.

Forget Deaner - his plans are long team - we have a ground for three seasons - that will allow him to build his new "stadium" and that will allow us to decide what we want to do long team.

What happens in the next couple of weeks are critical to the future of the club.

If STST is going to take charge, stop talking and lets see some actions.

What is happening about a new manager and how many players do we have?

I agree there has been to much talk and no action

I want to be able to see a team that has a chance of going up this season and not a rabble put together at the last minuite.

Someone sort it out!

Someone correct me if I'm wrong but, at the moment, the supporters cannot run the Club because Deaner wont let us as he doesn't think we can support it financially. I'm sure Mr Winston will find a certain irony in that! He wants to stay involved and is supposedly still in discussions with the Council about the land. If it was down to people like Chris Sliski and Roy Merryweather it would have been sorted by now but their hands are tied.

Unfortunately Deaner seems to have forgotten that the football club is still there and needs running during the close season and at the moment he's left us in limbo by spending all his time on the land issue.

Players are due to report for training on 1st July (I think) and that's the absolute latest when he should announce whether he's staying or not. If he does go, we'll struggle but we'll cope because there's enough people who care about the Club to make sure it's ok but either way, we need to know and we need to know NOW.

Suggetion of plan of action

1. M Deaner to continue to investigate land options with council and then develop site - NO day to day dealings with club

2. STST to run club i.e. appoint manager.

3. New Manager sorts out team for start of season

4. Play home games at Stag Meadow until M Deaner has a completed ground.

5. Move into new ground and move forward and upwards.

This seems very simple to me so whats stoping it?
