RED CARDS

Mrs. C has been working from home today and whilst on her break, she did a little stat work on our season and found that our red card count is lower at this stage of the season than last season...I believe it was seven red cards at a similar stage last season. It is six red cards this season...

 

...so that may answer the question about disipline being worse for the season.

Was "is our discipline this season better, worse, or similar to last season when a lack of discipline cost us heavily in Cup, Trophy and League?" really a question that needs to have been asked?

 

Or to put it another way, is a comparison with a season where ill discipline was a major undermining feature in our record in league and cups really a good idea? How does our red card tally compare with the preceding seasons in which we finished in the play-offs?

There was some discussion (I don't know from which direction) on Saturday about the amount of red cards and our disipline...I take it Mrs C was just interested and told me the stats and I decided to post...

 

...it's just another stat that some like to ponder over.

 

Last Thursday, we pondered over some other stats and compared the Cus / Dumas as left back stats as well as the Macca / pond right back stats. Irrelivant maybe but interesting all the same. It whiled away the hour and gave us something to discuss as we pondered over our drinks...
