SYCOB manager sacked

Seems strange after their best result of the season and the fact they don't want to get promoted and just really want to stay in this league.

Cant quite see the logic in this. Joe Mitchell is a good guy who has worked wonders at AFC Hayes on bugger all money, and

I am sure the budget at Beaconsfield would not have been too much bigger. Maybe Beaconsfield are after a big name

manager - Paull Hart from Pompey is available.

Football and logic do not mix!

I cannot understand why a club would decide to sack the manger but let him take control of the match on saturday! When Simon Lane got the boot from Windsor rumour has it he spent a week or so trying to avoid the chairman before getting the sack!!

Most of the Beaconsfield players were brought in by Joe Mitchell from AFC Hayes.

I would think that most of them are fiercely loyal to him and a high probability that they will either leave now or in the very near future.

All I can say is that Beaconsfield must be pretty sure that the manager thay have in mind has players he can bring with him or they could be in the preverbial s#it.

Looks like SYCOB do indeed have a management team lined up, and it would mean a return to Holloways Park for a familiar face...

Colin Davis (left) and Darron Wilkinson have decided to move on from Hayes & Yeading United's successful reserve team to take up the first team management roles at Beaconsfield SYCOB. Colin for many years and more recently Darron have been the mainstays in running the second XI at Church Road but CD has decided that he needs a fresh challenge with the Zamaretto League side. On behalf of the Directors and all at United I would like to thank them for all they have done for the Club and wish them both every success in their new venture. I would also add that it's been a pleasure working with you both (Kev).

Feel sorry for Joe Mitchell, as mentioned he is a proven manager for a team with little budget. In fact I'm sure at AFC Hayes only 2 of the players they had were even paid.

A case of hitting the panic button too early I think after results had began to improve.

I don't feel so sorry for Joe Mitchell after his celebrations in the away game at AFC Hayes last season where he come over to the Slough fans acting like they had won the league.

More on Wilko and Davis here for anyone interested. Davis was linked with us I seem to remember when Wilko left

I have to say i am amazed Joe Mitchell hasnt been given a job with more of a budget. The side he had at AFC Hayes was incredible for little money. Victor Osubu is a class act and how on earth he found him and kept him for so long with no money is beyond me.
