Winston not at Boreham Wood

I'll butt in as a football fan and a businessman.....

football clubs need stability...if the present owner/chairman/committee can't deliver that...they should move on...

regardless of who owns the shares at a club....its never really owned by anyone.....football clubs transcend ownership and outlive shareholders...

the souix indians had a saying.....

''no one owns the land...we're just looking after it...its our turn....''

that about sums up a football club.....

as for the a football club chairmans performance......well....

they should only be allowed to hold office for two years..(as in Spain).....then they should be made to seek re-election from the fans and committee.....

their performances can then be brought into the issue and like any businessman...if they've failed they go....

just my view....

gotta ram-raid this thread...

1) deaner offered in contracts and did offer to pay STUPID wages to players (and steve browne)

2) deaner has enough cash to purchase land to develop and build land for a 150 bed hotel, training pitches and convert a (to be honest) decrepit stadium into a conference quality (not Ryan) stadium

and he owes Sammy £1500???? the fish ain't smelling right in Denmark here...

its right what DDB says...the figures don't seem to add up.....

1500 quid is sod all in the scheme of things.....

with regard to my previous thread on FC's and the way they should be run....I also don't believe that its healthy for FC owners to run the clubs autocratically.....

shareholders should appoint directors to run FC's.....as any company would...

the directors are responsible to the shareholders and if they balls it up....OUT....

RR for Chairman..... <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

No-one has signed for anyone as yet

League rules dictate that no signings can be made until July 1.... I believe that that's tomorrow!!!!!!!!

''Winston, 24, is taking the matter up with the PFA''

Isn't the PFA the Professional Footballers Assoc? If so how can Winston apply for help when he is at a semi-pro club? Not really relevant perhaps but confused me.

Yeh, know what you mean Unc! Its my belief that they are all still suffering from cooking in alumimiun pans in the Sixties!

Matt, Sammy was a pro at Tottenham & Norwich so he obviously has kept up his PFA membership, sensible lad!
