CRAY V MARGATE - PITCH INSPECTION

Recommended Posts

I have received a message from Martin Hodson, secretary of Cray Wanderers, that there will be a pitch inspection at 11am tomorrow. As soon as the decision is made it will be on their website www.craywands.co.uk.

I will try to get this on the Official site too but as I am not sure if Steve Wells is still away I am not sure if I will be able to.

Its not looking great at the moment. Its very overcast with intermittent showers all morning. The sky will be blue then another large cloud arrives and another shower. I would say its probably a 40% chance of being played. It all depends on how it held up yesterday I would guess.

Probably too late for me but kentishfootball says...

Orpington based referee, Mr Andy Mead, has PASSED the 11 o'clock pitch inspection.

Cray Wanderers match secretary, Martin Hodson, told www.kentishfootball.co.uk at 11:25, "At the moment the game goes ahead, providing we have no heavy downpours before kick-off, but then that will be in the hands of the match referee.

"At the moment there are puddles in one goal mouth, the car park end, but we hope to have that cleared."

...sounds like if there's any more rain it'll be off.

It is a collusion between the refs.......one passes it so other one can turn up and collect his match fees :biglaugh:

Well, its not rained here since the pitch inspection at 1100 , but it is still very cloudy with big black clouds overhead. But as quick as they come the sun comes out for a bit and we do the whole round trip again. Its looking more hopeful now.
