Supporters' Society AGM

Duke of York

As it goes, such was the low key AGM that Andy's speech was the main event. Strangely he said he'd only want 5 mins of our time as he does'nt like to talk much, which prompted wild laughter before everyone realised he was being serious about not liking to chat much.

Andy's point about the paradise wildlife park family day is one which everybody can plan for and contribute to by just having a good day out with friends and family. I've missed all the PWP meetings to date but Glen has represented me in my absense, however I will be expecting the vast majority of our U8's-U12's youth boys and there famillies to be attending once all details are finalised. We should be looking to support this very ambitious event as it actually involves every angle of the club that presently play as ETFC.

There you are. A 'short speech' gets people moving.

We were informed that a board member will be celebrating his birthday close to the date and may be visiting the park with thousands of his friends.

We have been working on developing lists of all those organisations/groups of people who may be interested in gaining access to the park at discount rates provided they help us by buying their tickets from ETFC. Let me know if you have contact details of those who may be interested.

This will be the biggest income generating scheme of the year which will assist with the development of the club.

More details to follow.

Thanks

Andy-So long as the details of the event are passed as suitable by our boys youth section (and I will interpret 'suitable' to you face to face) I see no reason we cant have all the boys year end presentations done on that day. Potentially that will be 65-70 boys alone not including parents, grand parents bruvs and sisters. The event has the potential to place the senior team in the spot light to all Enfieldians and beyond but the senior setion must recognise the contribution made by all the minor sections too,

Suitable? Face to face? Pistols at dawn!!!

Seriously though, the above from yourself is the type of response we all need. Discussions have been going on for some time now and the youth sections have been represented at the meetings. A financial inducement will be offered to the sections of the club other than the first team in order to sell the idea and generate business and interest for the whole club.

Any further ideas are more than welcome and will be discussed at the next meeting. Don't leave it too long though as it will soon be May 23 2010.

Sounds good. I'll be at the game today so we'll have a quick chat on a couple of things that you may not be aware of.

EU - make no mistake Paradise Wildlife Park, Sunday 23rd May 2010, should be inked in everyones diary now. This is going to be a fantastic, unforgettable, end of season Family Fun Day out for everyone involved with ETFC, plus all their families, friends, neighbours, and the Enfield / Herts general public at large. Everyone will be made welcome at this major fund-raising event, which will involve and cater for all sectors of our club.

An enormous amount of time, effort and planning has/is going into the organisation of this event, and the facilities made available to us are second to none. If you have never been to Paradise you don't know what you have been missing. It covers 24 acres and is rated one of the best private animal parks in the UK. You will be guaranteed an exciting entertainment programme throughout the day, celebrity appearances, etc with attractions, fun and games suitable for the whole family.

Full details will be available early in the new year. Don't miss it !!!
