Cracking game with end to end stuff from the first minute.

On the first half performance, we were talking about how many players would be left on the park at 90 minutes! Some interesting tackles and challenges kept the fans in fine voice.

My MOM was Adam Wallace. He ran all over the place and was unlucky when he hit the post from close range. Hammond - what a find!

Well done Town.

By the way. I made my way into the ground and purchased a goalden goal ticket two minutes after the start of the game. My ticket was opened to reveal 'One Minute'! I will not be doing the lottery tomorrow.

Brilliant performance from the whole team. Wallace ran his socks off dropping back and holding the ball up so many times. Hammond put in untold crosses into the danger area and does look the sigining of the season.

Rudi Hall had an immense game in the centre of midfield, back to his best in the last few weeks.

ALWAYS NICE TO BEAT CONCORD!!

The performance of the ref left a lot to be desired. If Andy Jones had been playing I doubt that he would have lasted. In the face of extreme provocation from the Concorde players and their bench I am impressed with the discipline shown by the Town. Rudi appears to have learnt that if he keeps his head he stays on the pitch and the team benefits.

Well done everybody.

good result, not a great game. not good conditiosn either. good to see a few of the old faces there, not so good to see a barnet jumper there. you know who you are.......

wallace good, blackburn in goal a few worrying momemnts but mainly kept them out, I also thought that Kirby had a good game.

Have to disagree Paul. It was a great game. There was some great footie, the conditions made it erm interesting and it was end to end stuff. The downside was the ref who failed to show!!! We just rode our luck at the end! Great result, well done lads. :icon29:

Think it has all been said, but I would just like to add my thanks to Steve,Del and the lads for another great result against difficult opponents. Credit to Concord for their cup win, but another three important points for The Town, and progressively improving league results is what it is really all about in the hunt for promotion.

Talking to Town fans I detect a genuine sense of optimism this season. We have made some very good signings of late and they are making an immediate impact. The signs are very encouraging. Strong squad of players, good team spirit, difficult to beat at home, collecting points away from home, management team who know how to get the best out of players, and get results.

Hold on, don't let's get too carried away, things change very quickly in football. That said, many believe we can now compete with the best. Let's hope so, because that would make the second half of the season very, very interesting and exciting for everyone.
