So I'll probably won't see much of you in Southend then for a while.

 

Well I'll see you at the first pre-season friendly which is exactly three weeks away!

Most probably, I have to pop into College maybe a couple of days next week to check on my Human Biology Coursework - make sure it's growing nicely you see & start my Chemistry Coursework, (I never knew paperclips would be so interesting!)

 

Also July 11th I'll be down at the Kursal that night for a friend's birthday party.

 

So you might catch a quick glimpse of me. I'll definately try to get to the Friendlies though. I didn't go to any last season and I'm quite glad I didn't, (Folkestone, Gravesend etc.) But if our other Webmasters are away sunning themselves then the fort is left to me!! <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

Having read the preview description of the strip on this forum, I thought that I would dislike the away strip but to my surprise I think the away strip is better than the home. As much as I like our natural colour of Yellow I think the mix of the Yellow and light blue does not work, or maybe when worn with the white shorts and socks it will looka lot better than first impression!!

I think out home kit should be accompanied by light-blue shorts and our normal white socks. Having said that I haven't actually seen either kit yet although I will pop down to Penn Sports tomorrow and have a peek. Our away kit should be accompanied with Dark Blue shorts and Orange socks with dark blue hoops, (same style as the home ones)

the home shirt looks better with the shorts n socks on.. uh oh lets hope that doent become a popular ensemble on the terrace, people could have trouble keeping their burgers at the sight of those legs!!..

i think the home strip should always be yellow and the dark blue.. piss around with the away strip by all means

For anyone interested on the back of tonight's Evening Echo there is a colour picture of Ty Gooden, (in the new home shirt) with Frances Roche, signing his contract.

 

I am told too, that in either tomorrow's or Wednesday's Echo there is also a colour photo of Neil Gregory 'modelling' the new away strip!

Have to admit I'm looking forward to the Southend/Canvey game. It's always good walking down Southend high street with my Canvey shirt on! Anybody know if we've been allocatad a part of the ground? Are we in the North Bank again?

The Southend Utd kit is soooooo boring!

I had the full illuminous orange Chelsea goalkeeper kit of a few seasons back. Shirt, shorts and socks! I saw both kits in Penn Sports today and I have to say I do prefer the away kit to the home one!

 

I might get that one actually to add to my collection. I don't like our new home shirt. I think the arms are too light, last season's 'home blue' should've been used not the 'away blue'.
