New Signings?

Just a quick question, it was stated that 3-4 new signings would be playing in the reserve match last Saturday. I know the match was played and I know names have been around on here, but was there an official announcement made naming the players? Might just be my memory but I dont remember seeing anything. Does this mean that after watching the players in the reserve match the club have decided against completeing the signings? Just a little confused (as always).

I know Wellsie is away in Northern Ireland for a few days but I am sure as soon as he is told by the club they have been signed properly he will put it on the official site. Until that happens, of course, we wouldn't want other clubs beating us too the signings like what happened to Danny Hockton.

Ahhh kk I was not aware that Wellsie was away. Is the official website entirely run by Wellsie? I know Steve B. does the team stats and everything, I didnt know if he updated news as well.

Wellsie does most, if not all the official announcements when advised to by the club.

I will put the new signings on the Squad page as soon as I know something. As far as I am aware, the only one definately missing at the moment is Anthony Joseph and I am half way through his profile as we speak and may get that uploaded today (pending jobs around the house!). It has been a nightmare this season because as well as updating the players on the site I also have to send the profiles to other clubs for their programmes and every single week there has had to be amendmants for that!

On top of that, the number of players we have used is already too big for one page in the programme so I am beavering away at trying to find a new format for that which would fit!

So, all in all, I would be happy if the signings for the season have finished, although I am sure that will not be the case!!!

Steve you do a great job, one I defiantely dont envy you with the revolving door team we have these days. p.s. Isn't it time to have a new keeper for Sunday? Our keeper has played 2 games now.

Most seasons it is not too bad, even though we generally have a fairly high turnover of players. This season has been a bit bizarre with the number of players who have put on the blue (or white) shirt at some point. As a reminder also, I am working on something that would put up to date statistics on all player pages but various things keep putting that on the back burner such as new players or the wife wanting me to do something. These women folk just don't understand!!

I am led to believe that Beresford has returned from loan so who knows, he may get the nod on Sunday. At least I already have the profile for him!

You do a great job Steve. If you thiink we have used 7 keepers this season and still have 3 on the books that have not yet played. Unbelivable that a team can have had to use so many stoppers in one season
