Where do we go from today ?

All I know is that , I will continue to fight/press for answers to our plight....I have written to Fiona Mc Taggart , giving our reasons to be disapointed....which are many.... plus those hidden agenda's...EG ! what will happen to Abour Vale school in 18 months ....another school (single faith) therefore putting a squeeze on the land allocated to STFC..!!

Yesterday the papers were hot on my telephone line...can say that I was very very dissapointed again the supporters are left high and dry, with no solution to our problems after almost 10 years of trying...yet the school gets the nod after only 12 months !

I can speak with two hats as I am also a wexham resident and they are getting sh..fted too.....NO MORE SCHOOLS IN WEXHAM !!!!! 5 in 2 miles of Wexham...is just too much..does not matter it is one faith its just too much !

The council on Monday tried to split and divide the football club and residents , by telling us something was in the pipeline for us ! so they could push on with their other agenda of getting the school through without any further problems... as TED stated it is time to tell us exactly what is in the pipeline for Slough Town FC...or will we know nothing until the school gets the permissions....

Time to take our gloves off if nothing forthcoming in the next week !!!! Enough is enough....we are the 2nd class citizens of this town....and next election we need to make ourselves known if someone does not sort this on going problem for the Town's football club.....

cheers chris

We as a supporters committee will be having another meeting with the residents on Thursday this week to plan another day of protest....

The citizens of Slough are already missing us outside the town hall on Mondays !!!

cheers chris <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

I don't care about the residents, they showed how there felt with the pathetic turn out on Monday. If I can give my time to fight for Slough so could a lot more of them.

Whilst it was a very disappointing residential turn out, we should surely be trying to do more with them to encourage them to be further backing the football club when the time comes.

All fair and well slagging off their turn out, look at ours as well. Can't have one without the other. I'd say we had about 15% of our fans there for such an important time, pretty disgraceful really.

Quite right Gary where are all the die hard supporters who follow the REBELS all over the country but can not turn up outside the Town Hall for a spell, what a difference that could make. Have they all given up.

I agree it's really disappointing that more didn't turn up to show their feelings. It's fair to say that numbers of us, myself included, live outside the borough and therefore can have limited input into this process.

I showed up because I personally wanted to show solidarity with the club that I've supported for 40+ years and to sympathise with the residents (my Mum still lives in the Wexham area and I'm Slough born and bred).

I think the fans are just fed up with the whole situation,it is difficult to be positive given our state but if you go back through our history we have never been the most supported club in the area not withstanding our good days in the conference,as soon as we went out off that league most of the casual support which was only there because of the league that we were in dissapeared over night.I think that these dark days will continue until we some how get rescued by a benefactor, plus the contined support from the STSA.history tells us that we cannot rely on Slough council and i cannot see this changing in the future. Also when was the local MP last down at the club through out the season, certinaly not the present MP.

I agree. We never had a huge fanbase. A lot fo the people who came to see Slough when we were in the conference did so when their team, be it Brentford, QPR, CHelsea or whoever were playing away. At least half a dozen Brentford supporters came up to Martin and I when we went to the Brentford play off game in Cardiff, where we were wearing Slough scrafs to cheer of Lloydy, and they hadn't seen Slough since things went belly up in 98.

That said, Slough still have a very healthy support when you compare to other clubs at our level. But in a town of 100000, 400 supporters don't make a lot of noise with the powers that be.
