And our old friend alan fenn seems to want to sweep this under the carpet(or at least where prying eyes cannot see it,tough!!!)

He also obviously denies the swearing which the sister heard as not only does he have rose tinted specs but a rose tinted hearing aid...

Towards the end of Saturdays match my parents and I were disgusted to hear a so-called Romford fan shout what can only be described as verbal abuse to my brother. Correct me if I’m wrong, but isn’t a fan someone who supports their chosen team through thick and thin, through the highs and the lows? Isn’t a fan someone whom encourages, cheers, spurs on and chants & sings team songs in support? So tell me why, and I’m being extremely kind here, this gentlemen thinks it’s acceptable to shout out at the top of his voice ‘Kav your a f**king disgrace’? And all because his free kick was poor. Was this free kick, taken in approx the 90th minute match/result changing then? Was he the only player who didn’t perform particularly well that match then? I bet he wasn’t a disgrace last season when he was top goal scorer and helped the team to promotion was he? I bet you were singing his praises then. Liked him then didn’t you? Well you are a turncoat, a plastic supporter. Prove you are a legit supporter and a man by personally apologising to his face.

My parents and I were standing at the turnstile when this incident occurred and even from there we heard what this idiot shouted out. That’s how loud he was. Now I’m a big believer in freedom of speech, differences of opinions etc, but to shout out an insult specifically aimed at someone in particular, in my book is totally unacceptable. It’s not the swearing, you’d be hard pushed to find a football match at any level where swearing isn’t used and heard, it’s the personal attack.

I couldn’t care less if this bloke has supported Romford for 5 minutes or 5 decades and if it is decades then he should bloody well know better. I couldn’t care less as to whether he is known at the club, a friend of the club or someone who raises funds for the club. What he said and did is not on. If it were my club I’d rather you take your money and disappear.

As Lordy quite rightly said ‘if you want to help the club or want to get better players, go out and help find a sponsor’. Having witnessed this person shout abuse out left, right & centre all afternoon, louder and longer than anyone else (mainly at the officials), maybe this ‘Abramovich’ wanabee could put his money where his mouth is. We’d have the new stand built in no time!

Clearly someone needs to be reminded that these players and I’m talking about the whole squad & staff give up their time, I’m guessing about 12-15 hours a week and for no wages because they want to play football for Romford. They are loyal to Magic and his team, dedicated, hard-working and doing the best they can to stay in this league. So I don’t think anyone should turn around and say that someone is a disgrace. Don’t you think he knew that free kick was s**t the second it left his foot. Do you think the players don’t know when they’ve played a bad ball or a mis-timed tackle etc? If Mr ‘Big I am’ you think you can do better, take any players blue & gold jersey and have a go yourself, see if you can do better. Or if you think that’s below you (which trust me, it isn’t) take Magic’s hat and have a go there instead. Oh sorry, I didn’t hear you shouting out ‘Magic your teams a f**king disgrace’. Is that because you haven’t got the balls? So listen here, do not ever stand there on the terraces giving it Charlie Big potato’s and shout anything disrespectful towards my brother again and that goes for anyone else. Do not shout out anything other than respectful praise and encouragement to any player whom are all doing the best they can. We might know their names and we might know their faces, but it doesn’t mean we know the man, them as a person. Remember that.

My family and I contribute to the club every time we part with £10 on the gate. It doesn’t give us a right to stand there verbally abusing people and neither does it you. We’ve all got our thoughts and opinions on how the team play, tactics etc and by all means discuss them with your neighbour.

As someone who has played team/league football for many, many years, whom has held a season ticket at Arsenal since 1993 and travelled to Europe to watch them, also having managed girls football for more than 4 years having qualified as a Level 1 FA coach in 2002, I know a thing or two about football. In all this time I have never witnessed such an insult aimed at one person in particular and even had it been aimed at any other player I will still feel as strongly as I do now.

Finally, my parents and I would like to thank Magic & coaches as well as the rest of the team for their support, understanding & kind words shown to Paul after the match as well other players parents ringing him to offer their support. As his family we are grateful. This shows what a team, in the real sense and meaning of the word you are.

If anyone has anything to say on the matter please do come and see me at the next match in person.

Jacqi, I actually agree with everything you have just said apart from 2 things.Firstly the so called supporter didn't swear(I was standing a few feet away)and secondly I think things like this should be kept within the confines of RFC and not put out on public display.I hope Magic gave Paul a slap on the wrist for his understandable reaction and then a great big hug because he deserves it.If it wasn't for Paul and others we would still be in the ESL and he deserves our respect and support at all times. This week should have been the best week for years for our club and for me it was totally ruined by the actions of one person.

I think we need to cut Mr Fenn some slack as he is obviously riding an emotional roller coaster. One minute euphoria about a new ground and then depression with the realisation that they have a crap team biglaugh.gif

PS Can we get the person who ruined his week on our xmas card list?

the responses on their forum get even funnnier but don't post on there as they want us ethnically cleansed

There will be repurcussions from that thread on their forum. It may well result in the thread being locked, all posters having to give their inside leg measurement, plus bank account and social security numbers to be able to respond.

I do find it somewhat funny that within 1 hour of zody/chancer jon gildersleeve posting his first ever post on the forum regarding the subject the thread is then locked, military style.

Didn't they used to moan about similar things on this forum, zody is accusing anyone he hasn't heard of as being an urchin
