Ok so our next two games are Aylesbury away and AFC sudbury at home on the tuesday.

Based on the fact that the last time Aylesbury conceded less than 4 goals was 12th October and Hitchin do not have a game on the tuesday night and we are only 2 behind them on goal difference I would fully expect us to be top of the league come 1st Dec if we beat Sudbury.

This just goes to show how far SB has brought this team that we finally have something to cheer about again.

Up the rebels!!!!

While I agree this would be nice if it happened - and hopefully it will - in realistic terms we are 3rd in the league because of the games in hand that Burnham and Hitchin have on us. That also shows how far we have come under Steve Bateman, and we just have to hope that both teams slip up in their games in hand!

Hopefully Saturday will be a chance to boost our goal difference and goals scored column with the top end of the league being so tight at the moment.

We have two difficult matches coming up, yes Aylesbury are bottom and are shipping-in goals, but lets remember they have beaten Beaconsfield this year and apparently were very unlucky away to Burnham this season, where they could have won. Plus we only have to look back two seasons ago when we had a similar team to Aylesbury when we beat Fleet (who were then second) 2-1.

Having said that though, I think we have a very good squad now, so I would not be suprised if Steve keeps back some of the injured players who have been struggling of late like Paul Edgeworth in reserve on the bench and only play him if needed. Could also gives the likes of Graham Edwards (if fit), Tyron Sealey and Dwain Clark games, as all will be important players over the Christmas period and it would be good to get them match fitness.

It's such a shame and very sad what's happened to Aylesbury. Even a couple of years back this would have easily been a 400+ attendance fixture at Buckingham Road, now they struggle to get 100 at Leighton at times.

Sudbury on a cold Tuesday night after a 2-hour+ drive following work could turn out to be the hardest away game we play this season. We have to avoid an 'Atherstone' performance here.

Has Dwain Clark played or trained at all this season?

If he has not played a game this season it would probably be a better idea to introduce him gradually rather than play him from the start.
