The Basildon United score was all about them getting beaten by a superior team on the day without question.

 

As I've said before I go and watch plenty of different Senior League games, but because of one or two I know over there Eton Manor have kind of become my adopted Senior League team. They were a good side last year, finished in the top 6 and then improved their squad in the summer and I really expected them to surprise people and be right up there this season.

 

They had a tough start and lost out in a few high scoring games that they deserved results from and I think it knocked their confidence a bit. Today was the first time I'd seen them in a month or so and the confidence is visibly there now and they completely controlled that game today, even without Danny Clarke and Sid Nelson who I think are two of their best players. If they play like that every week they'll be a real handful.

Where has the League Chairman been recently with the results and scorers??

 

 

I was wondering the same. Take it Burnham won then by your post below about the league. A great result for your boys again.

Whats the Basildon United score all about???

 

 

Blimey Slaphead, I wouldn't worry about Basildon Utd, WTF is going on at Bowers? Lost 8 of 10 league games and let in 15 in the last 4 league games!!!

 

COME ON YOU BOWERS!!!!!

WA - Not heard the score for Burnham yet, but everyone else who is a potential challenger keeps losing....

 

Good result for us, it's nice now that players are coming back from injury. Still 5/6 first teamers out but nice to get a couple of wins.

 

Witham starting to show some form aswell mate!

 

Hook's, not impressed with Bowers at all mate. Some decent individuals on paper, but dont play anything like a team. Still a long way to go though mate.

Yeah Witham got rid of the older boys and touch wood the youngsters have taken their chance. Now we have a great away record wnning at Apsa, Bas Utd and yourselves and Tiptree and of course the Mauritius one that does not count. Only if we could sort out our home form. I have suggested the players drive to Southend Pier before we play Hullbridge at home next weekend.

 

Pleased Manor are going in the right direction. I text my Manor mate who is just coming back from Newport v Braintree he was well pleased you won today.

Very worrying mate. I've not really had a chance to watch them this season (Watching the lad at Bas Town) but I did see them v Southend Utd's youngsters in the ESC and they were excellent. Cooky must be wondering why they can turn up for the high profile games but not the bread and butter ESL stuff.

 

I can't comment on their performances, I'm just going by the results.

 

Great results recently for you guys JJ, you gonna be fit soon?

ESL results are the ones that really matter though mate. I would expect them to come to the party soon, although promotion this year now looks a no go for Bowers and their pre-season aspirations. Cookey looked a little down on the sidelines. Good set up, just need's the results.

 

I am aiming for January 2nd 2010 mate, its been 5 weeks since the op so I am in rehab time now. Not all bad though, I am assiting the managers with little jobs at the minute. Danny Kemp is also back around the same time so that 600-700 Senior appearances of experience to try and get back in. The young lads are going really well.
