Report on Reserve Match

I was planning to be at the game today but something has cropped up so if anyone fancies doing a report on it for Tuesday's programme, mainly due to all the new faces that are expected to play, that they can get to me by tomorrow I would be very grateful.

Would be even more greatful if they can do a report for here as well, as I know I cant make Tuesday either due to someone depositing a crowd control barrier on the thatnet way in the early hours of last Sunday morning, leading to my car being written off.

yeah I missed the barrier, Hit the central reservation crash barrier instead :) Wrote off a 9 month old car so must have done it properly.

dont you just hate it when you walk in on an inside conversation? Never mind who was who, what was the score, and how did we play?

To be honest it was a pretty dull game, and nothing happened in the 1st half at all. The highlight of the game for me was Winchcombe's (I think it was him, the #3) Oscar worthy dive and roll towards the end of the 2nd half

I would have thought that with all his 1st team experience Morris would have shone in that game, but he looked as unimpressive playing for the reserves as I've always found him to be in the 1st team.

Isn't Morris coming back from injury? If he is playing himself back into fitness, its entirely possible that he was only playing at 75%, from rust or from worry about injury.

Brad Thomas is a 25 year-old defender who was with Kings Lynn last season (Conf North) and has been around a bit. Played in the League for Boston and also had spells with Crawley, Yeovil, Weymouth and Peterborough amongst others. Nearly always been with clubs of Conf South / North level or above.

Here's a bit more insight on the game .

Interesting that apart from one post above-so little was said re: Thomas' appearance.

On paper-looks a proper defender-lets hope it happens-but i won't hold my breath as we've seen it all go wrong so many times before.

(why do players-Joseph in this instance- so regularly go ill/pick up bugs on the eve of games ? )

I like what i read from MB about Duncans style of play-just the type of unobtrusive but totally effective player i like (leberl in his prime )
