Alton Towers is opening for weekends leading upto Christmas(think the weathers bad here!) for Tinsel and Turkey + fun park for the first time. If the council had got there finger out and had got some one to build that hotel on the sea front(the one they stopped MFC building one for) along with the heritage fair and perhaps a proper skate come water park then why couldn't Margate do it. Or is that to ambitious.

Instead of housing, TDC and the Developer should go and talk to the guy who owns Water world in Stoke?

You covered your answer in the question BB. Any development of any kind here has to involve the council, hence no development. If you look deep in your heart, even with the heritage money, can you honestly see dreamland succesfully opening with the council we have? I hope I am wrong, I would so love to be proved wrong, but can people seriously see this council doing anything properly? Thanet could and should be so much more than westwood cross but that is the only thing this council has provided positively, and even that was done half assed and is still a complete [****!!****] up.

 

I give you this as an example. Have you seen the amount of disabled parking? Have you seen that the council also arranged for mobility scooters to be rentable from the disability store? Have you seen that this store is the one FURTHEST AWAY from the car park? The reason for this? Thanet district council decided that most disabled people who need mobility scooters travel around by BUS.
