Has anyone actually thought why DH would actualy prefer to play for Maidstone than us well may I pose the following suggestions.

 

How well was he treated towards the end of his time with us by sections ofthe crowd. I remember the abuse at W&E quite well.

 

Has this abuse changed since then or has it got worse (see an earler posting from the match comments at WA his week). Remember he had friends past & present to ask about this who were at that game.

 

Finally remember he has just left a club where abuse of thier own players is the norm.

 

 

Just a thought as I do not think it was about money.

Woke up this morning to a further feeling of relief that MB did not secure Hocktons signature- (and still amazed that he was even contemplating it)

 

I believe harrisons words were-'i'm staying at Ashford at the moment'.

I'd rather be patient and wait for harrison after Xmas, than have hockton now.

 

Apart from which-i'm sure MB has a few other options ;and maybe needs to concentrate on midfield and defence as the priority.

As ever-if you don't concede-you only need score one goal to win.

I was not there at the so called match but i do remember the way Danny was treated and the lads who gave him grief know who they are and what they said . I think it was also brought up again when his name was mentioned about a return once before .

Standing up for a guy who i think played something like 70 games and scored something like 62 goals and then getting abuse the way he did is our own downfall in my book , our fault and he has every right to not want to come back here , why should he i wouldn`t knowing the same people could be there laying in wait for the slightest mistake he makes, Danny will never settle and play for us again the way he did when he 1st joined us . SHAME .
