So Romford get the green light

For their new stadium at westlands and despite the fact that i dislike them and some of their ageing bafoons,i am glad that a club with the history of romford are back in the borough as i am sure most of you are(through gritted teeth lol)

But it seems that our old mate Mr Alan Fenn of Grenfell avenue, hornchurch still cannot let things go,reading his usual dribble on page 27 of the recorder shows that he knows sweet FA about our club and the borough in general.

He states that a few years ago we wanted to move to a new state of the art stadium but any fan given a brand spanking new stadium would hardly turn it down, the fact of the matter is that we know we cannot afford a new stadium and in all honesty it was talked about by previous owners not the fans still at the club.I for one am happy with the bridge and although it has a 6 lane running track it is one of the better gorunds in the ryman league and one of the more atmospheric despite the track which is only about 10 yards from pitch to the terrace and seats.

As for their forum, the letter is from a bloke who used to (from my sources) be a councillor for havering who last week publically on their forum said that all non romford fans should be ethnically cleansed.

In all honesty,i wouldn't bother going on their forum as it seems they are operating a "stitch up" policy of anyone who disagrees with anything they say, then having vile comments attributed to their name even though the said person was not even on their forum that day, something that the host pitchero is looking into.

So to the normal romford fans i congratulate you but to the likes of Mr Alan Fenn, you can jog on mate.

I too am genuinely happy for Romford. I have enjoyed winding up their fans who seem to live in some kind of time warp but they have worked hard to get this through. However I do wonder how they are going to get it all built and facilitised presuming the council aren't going to help out financially because as we know the Council won't do jack s**t to help them. Maybe they have a rich benefactor in the wings!!!!. As for Mr Fenn I take solace in the fact that he seems very insecure

What gets me with this idiot Mr Alan Fenn of Grenfell Avenue,Hornchurch is that on their forum yesterday he started sucking up to a couple of our fans who had gone onto their forum to wish romford the best of luck last night,by apologising for some of the things he had said previously which may of been wrong, then low and behold, the great man does an about turn and writes into the recorder again with his usual garbage, seems he doesn't know his ar$e from his elbow

He's just Mr Bitter that's all. It will be interesting to see how their ground gets financed. If they have the funds in place good luck to them as we know how much it is to run a club including a ground. If they do get help off the Council it had better not be to the detriment of any services. I just didn't realise how much money was put in their bucket each week!

Ha ha... Sid must be on holiday as I thought that one would have been raised at least by 6am this morning.

Don't worry yourself about things like that my follicly challenged friend. Perhaps a small increase in your council tax might help the cause.

Whatever happened to your, all singing all dancing, shiny new stadium at Gerpins Lane that was apparently a done deal?

saw a barn owl down gerpins lane a few weeks back, and even more surprisingly a fallow deer a few months back, with nature like that who would want to build a stadium down there, any plonker that thinks there is enough room to build a football stadium down there needs looking at

Said plonker has now flown your nest.....

I remember seeing four deer casually trotting past my kitchen window about 4am a couple of summers back. They had escaped from Bedford's Park, but was a surreal moment

though. Shame the Purdey wasn't loaded..

There is a fenced off deer paddock up there..thought they came from there.. and they would be wild if I stuck a 12-bore up one of their jaxy's...

One thing for sure Mr 'Knowledge is all' I won't worry about such things. That old saying of 'being nice to people on the way up' springs to mind. What were th words voiced at the Bridge 'from the Romturd brigade back 95 'one day all this will be ours!! :biglaugh:
