There's normally a couple of deaths - not sure how many murders there have been though, although there was certainly one a few years back.

 

I think the only dangers are on the outskirts of the festival site though, near the fences etc. Keep to the bands and the markets, and there's no probs.

One of the main dangers at festivals are the bloody camp fires! If one gets out of control then, 'WHHOOOOSSHH' the whole place gets it! Also, when people get really drunk they tend to try and jump through the fires, at least my friends do.

Thing about festivals now is, that in the last five years or so, the people they're attracting has changed. No longer have you got that "hippy-ideal" at festivals, because your average townie or yobbo is going too.

It's possible to do that you know. There was some band (I can't remember who but it's some small guitar band) who couldn't get signed, or couldn't get gigs and so they set up their own record label and every year they have 'Truckfest'- their very own festival! Genius!
