Hanwell Town v Croydon

Recommended Posts

Gooner born and bred.....and Graham v Wenger, different styles in different era's, both successful too, the only thing I would add is that Wenger was fortunate to inherit, albeit from Rioch, but courtesy of Graham one of the best back....6's ever, Seaman, Dixon, Winterburn, Bould, Keown and Adams

RefOffRef - So in other words you prefer the Graham era to Wenger's, it's a no brainer in my opinion

I prefer the Wenger era.

Horace - Following last nights game at Manchester City you would never have seen George Graham refusing to shake hands with his opposite number or continually complaining, that's a serious, surprising and disappointing flaw in Wenger's make up

And you'd never see Wenger salt £400K of Arsenal's money in a Channel Island bank account.

Horace - You keep going back to that but what about the recent revelations that Premiership Club's paid £70.6million to agents from October 2008 to September 2009, that's bordering on the criminal.

Don't you claim to be "The Great One's" agent? How much of a cut do you take?

What was that as a percentage of Premiership clubs' turnover? And how did it compare with the amount taken as salary by CEO's etc?

Horace - That's one for Wader to answer next time he comes on. Don't you think that the likes of Shankly, Revie, Stein, Mee, Nicholson, Paisley and Catterick, to name a few, will be rolling in their graves on hearing the news that Premiership Club's paid £70.6million to agents from October 2008 to September 2009, can you imagine if an agent dared to knock on Bill Shankly or Don Revie's door when they were alive

I've answered that myself. Turnover of last season's 20 Premiership clubs was £1,798,000,000. £70,800,000 is approx 4% of that.

Yes but it's money to the likes of the unscrupulous Eric Hall and it's all wrong, it's not the 'working mans game' any longer.

It hasn't been for a long time!
