Whether you are a Stoke City Fan, a Chelsea Fan or, a Fan of great football. I am sure you will join me in wishing Alan Hudson a speedy recovery after he collapsed in a Stoke street yesterday. Alan Hudson as given me some great memories from is time at the Victoria ground. Mr Hudson has been dogged by ill health after a road accident 17 years ago that left him fighting for his life for several months along with the Alcohol disease that seemed to be rife in football at that time.

Remember a great goal he scored at Arsenal years ago. Outstanding player who should have had more England caps.

Never saw him, but have most definately heard of him. I hope he does have a speedy recovery, seems like ex players need more support, especially from that era. Would be nice with all the millions floating around the premiership if they set up a fund to support these ex players, the ones who suffer badly with the alcoholism that was rife, and the ill health from heading the heavy old balls and stuff. Sorry not expressed to well but I hope you get the gist of what I mean.

It is stated that Alcohol is not the cause of the the present problem. He is still under going tests.

Sorry Blueblood, I did not mean to imply that alcohol was the cause of this problem, but when you look at the number of greats from that era who do have or have had alcohol problems, George Best and Jimmy Greaves spring immediately to mind, I just thought it might be nice to be able to offer them support from all the money in the premiership.
