This game has the potential to be "Match of the season" & i cant wait. Dont be fooled by our league position as were shooting up the league now after a poor start. Check our recent results to see what i mean. Im bringing my family up so my Mrs would like to know how good a shopping town Windsor is & id like to know if you lads fancy meeting for a pint or 2? Been posting on here for a while so it'd be nice to put a few faces to the names. Log on to our site to get clued up on us & feel free to post on our forum. Its very active & your views (friendly) will be more than welcome.

Tell your MRS the shopping in Windsor is rather good although quite expensive, put it this way you won't find a Matalan or Primark (not that you would want to) but there are loads of places to keep her occupied.

You can usually find Windsor fans in one of the pubs up by the ground, some of the lads tend to visit the Stag & Hounds which is by the ground and some of us have been frequenting the Duke of York recently, which is about 2 minutes walk down the hill. Whichever one you visit you’re bound to bump into a few people going to the game.

Anyway have a good trip down and enjoy our late comeback!

I'm still unsure about the Duke Pre-Match you know! It just doesnt feel right going in there when there are people other than us lot in there! For the party on the 7th it was really bizzare. At one point i had to wait nearly 50 seconds for a pint!!! Still waiting for the bombardier to come back on tap down there!! Personaly i dont rate either pub over the clubhouse these days.

P.S Keep your Mrs away from the Central train station. Your wallet will thank me for that!!

Been a few years now since i was last in Windsor but i do remember it as been a good size town centre. I didnt get too much of a look though coz i was visiting the then landlord of The Two Brewers (or is it 3?) . If the weather aint going to be lousy i reckon the'll be 40-50 from Frome so theyll probably be split between the pub & your clubhouse.

Enjoy your comeback?? Cant promise you that!! Can promise you though that you'll enjoy the spectacle that is Frome Town AFC!!! Click on this link to read a bit about or man of the moment Luke Ballinger

Unfortunately I won't be down this Saturday... gutted missing my first home game of the season, I have to say after chatting on the boards i was looking forward to Frome as its always good to meet friendly fans!

I'll def be doing Frome away though! As for Windsor shopping... see above it is pretty good but expensive, loads of designer shops.

Your new signing looks like a decent player! Fingers crossed it should be a good game (with a Windsor win of course!) as you've just hit good form and we have in my opinion one of the best strike forces in the league!

Humpty you updating your Twitter with the score?

UTR!

Don't mean to piss on your bonfire but joel will most likely get the text before he checks the twitter anyway! Twitter is a vastly over hyped peice of tosh, mostly by the bbc, that quite frankly will be dropped as quickly as the last media fad that was myspace!

Well we huffed and puffed but didnt score today. Thought frome were well organised but that was all.

However the game was left with a sour taste after your keeper, who had a great game, was possesed by the cheating sprit of Drogba. To try and get someone sent off is disgusting and just as bad as a two footed challenge in my mind. The actions of one of your subs wasnt exactly great either and Steve Rowland had to usher him into the changing room after a few verbals ( from both sides) However the game will always be rememebered for that peice of cheating by the keeper and considering it was pissing it down at the time that is some achivement.

South West Fred, hope you enjoyed your visit but i would like to see you try and defend that.

Oh it was 0-0 for those of you who are scared of water!!

I very rarely comment on such things, but I agree with Woody, that was one of the worst pieces of behaviour I have seen in a very long time, well since Thierry Henry anyway! The thing is throughout the game the keeper had an excellent game and won a lot of praise from Windsor supporters, he pulled of some excellent saves and really commanded his area, but then to ruin it all by that piece of stupidy. A little hint for next time, if you you're going to fall to the ground as if you've been hit out cold by David Haye and roll around, try doing it when 1) a player is actually that close to you to be able to hit you and 2) if they actually lift their arms. Fair play to Marcus for not getting dragged into it. Just very disappointing the referee didn't even offer a card. A clear act of trying to get another player sent off, and referees wonder why they get grief at times!

First game I've watched completely sober for ages, and I have to say we're really quite good aren't we?

A quick tip for anyone wishing to get into the game without paying. Just stand outside the gate looking sad and dejected.

The gateman will feel sorry for you and let you in.

Another tip is when the gateman asks "do you have a pass?" Just answer "no, but I have quite a decent shot." Show him your tesco clubcard, and you're in.

Do we take it you're volunteering to stand out in all weathers taking all sorts of abuse to be our new gateman then Sid?

Of course the other alternative is to make everyone go through the turnstiles but of course bikes would have to be left outside!

By the way Woody I diodn't usher anyone into the dressing room he went of his own accord, but he couldn't get back out to have another go once I had filled the doorway with my presence. LOL.

I don't own a bike though.

I do, however, take your point Windsor sec. Manys the time I've witnessed an angry mob baying for blood, trying to storm the gates, and I've thought to myself "blimey, how can one man, armed only with a hi-viz jacket and an innate sense of duty, possibly repel such a murderous hoard of brigands and ne'er do wells without unduly disturbing the neighbours?"

But you know what?...He does it, week in, week out, an understated man...A quiet hero...He doesn't seek praise or gratitude. He has the inner satisfaction of a job well done.

And i,for one, applaud that man of tempered steel!

God bless the gateman!

Windsor Sec- I dont think that is SiD. Just a fan!

One thing that susprised me was how happy Frome's side and supporters were with a draw and a match where they were under great pressure at times. Shows that every week we have to be at our best as we are seen by others as one of the 'big' sides to play against now

I have to say from what I saw it looked like an entertaining game with Frome set out to try and stifle and disrupt our play and hit us on the break. In the first half this very nearly happened. The second half we definitely stepped it up but stout defending and a bit of luck (which we all get from time to time) kept their goal intact. Well played Frome, they would have taken a point at kickoff and an objective fan would have taken that at 90 mins. As for the incident, well it was what it was. But the point here is that he didn't try to do it to gain an advantage in play (such as handball on the line, tripping a player clean through etc) but did it after play had stopped to purely get a player sent off. I guess the only person he has to answer to is himself, and if he is capable of doing what he did then he will have no issues.

But still undefeated, and still top of teh league, for now. Abingdon, VT and Totton soon, that will sort the contenders from the also rans, so bring it on and lets keep performing as we are and be undefeated come January.

One other thing, Richardson is getting better of the bench. It is good to have options and with four very different and good strikers I feel we have enough to continue and challenge. Would Chenns have a made a difference today, maybe. But we have lost gamees like today's in seasons gone by and a point is enough to keep us up going. We will play worse than that and win comfortably, Frome are no mugs and a tough game at their place no doubt, ut if they play a more attacking game it could be a very good game.

UTR!!!

I had a lot of respect for the keeper in they way he played and they banter we had with him behind the goal until the incident happened. What I really don't undertsand from all of this is one of two things should have happened:

1. Rico should have been sent of or booked for a reckless challenge (which defo wasn't the case)

2. The keeper should've have been repremanded for faking being hit.

but for the referee to do nothing just showed his lack of control and no balls.

Less said about the keeper the better, I'm happy to give him the benefit of the doubt and suggest it was just a split second of madness for which I’m sure he feels quite silly about now.

As for the game I thought Frome were well organised and defended well, especially the 2 centre backs and the keeper. I was a little disappointed with their attitude in the 2nd half, with the wind at their backs I thought they might have made more of a fist at actually trying to win the game instead of sticking everyone behind the ball and then launching it (usually out for a goal kick) every time they had possession. It turned into a bit of a training match of attack verses defence. It will be interesting to see what tactics Frome use in a few weeks time when we play them away.

1/3 of the way through the season and we're top of the table and still undefeated, must be our best start ever. I did think the title will boil down to a 2 horse race between us and Totton but I fear Paulton may have some cash to splash after their FA Cup exploits and could be a dark horse.

Mrs Cat, I don't blame Frome for their tactics, you are playing away to the team top of the league and they are undefeated. You know they come strong in the second half (cos you've done your homework) and you don't want to go a goal down against this lot. I would say they got the best result from the game for them. The return match will be interesting, wonder if Scotty will go three up front if we fail to break them down?

Should be a good game though
