Brazil v England

an anyone tell me why wes brown & Ben foster are playing for england when neither of them are first team regulars,

Seems to me that all you have to do is register to play for man utd to get the chance to put on an england shirt.

And why the fck are we playing in conditions like these when the world cup will be held in south africa in winter which will be considerably cooler than this.

I know we have to play brazil because of an agreement between the two sides which saw them be our first guests at wembley but why on earth could this game not be played in europe where the climate is better suited to what they will have in south africa, plus the players wouldn't have to travel more than a couple of hours.Once the FA Grow some balls and do whats right for the team not commercially then we may be able to think about winning the world cup.I thought cappello was different but with wes brown & foster playing i am not so sure, plus bent isn't an international striker

i think the reason the barrel is being scraped with using foster and brown is because the england squad has i believe been hit by injuries. or 'injuries'. i think i heard one of the tits commentating saying that since capello took over, that he's used 25 different players for his england teams and that of those 25, 13 were unavailable for selection due to injury.

the game is being played in the middle east because cash is king and the middle east has the most cash around to splash on football. the fa couldn't give 2 flying ones about england winning the world cup, they just chase the money. do you reckon that englands official partners - carlsberg and mcdonalds - are helping england to win the world cup, or do you reckon the fa are just after the money? it's exactly the same with them wanting to host the world cup. it's not to give us an advantage in the competition (stats for home nations winning the world cup are insane, why can't the netherlands host ffs?), no, they want to host it to rake in the cash. yes they'll plow some into grass roots, but most of it will be spent on more handbags for warners wife or just to line their pockets.

international friendlies are crap anyway, for a multitude of reason, not least that players pretending to be injured - i.e. the ones that have their selection pretty much guaranteed for the important fixtures, (take a bow ryan giggs). but the very fact that they're held during the middle of the season and take players away from the clubs that actually pay their wages and quite often leave them injured. it's only a recent development that the cash hungry fa have agreed to compensate clubs for injuries caused on national duty.

full time 1-0. i couldn't care less.

in all honesty, friendlies shouldn't be played in the middle of a premier league season, should be the same for eveyone warming up to a world cup finals.

All countries in europe should finish the season at the same time and the international countdown to the world cup finals should then begin.

I just don't see the point in turning up against brazil with 2/3rds of the team missing, what on earth can anyone get from that apart from as you say tree, financial interest
