MFC vs Weald\stone

These situations are always very difficult. With the weather as it was the referee makes a decision in the interests of the game and the safety of the players. Personally, I thought the club's reposnse in a quickly changing situation was as good as it could have been. There was a differntiation made between home and away supporters purely because it is generally harder for them to get here on a Tuesday evening than it is for home fans. I'm not saying that all home fans will be able to get here either, but generally that's likely to be the case in most circumstances. What I would say is that if you have any queries, ring the club - but DO hang on to your ticket!

What I would also say is that in these situations, no one wins - not the club, our supporters, opposition supporters or the players.

Apart from the officials, who get paid twice!!!

Were seen in the side bar after the decision grinning smugly despite the chaos they'd caused.

differntiation ......... I beg your pardon ?

I wish I didn't do that - "differentiation"

Well, I for one, am glad the match was postponed. It gave Mr Butler and Mr Beeks time to do extra training with the players, which, by the sound of the interview with Steve Beeks, the players desparately needed. If our players are already not as fit as they should be, trying to play into the wind would have killed out players off and left Wealdstone with a walk over. I am seriously disappointed that we have semi professional players who you would think would have the intelligence to think I'm being paid to play foorball I should at least keep myself fit, and aren't even bothering to do the basics.I think this basic revelation has annoyed me more than anything else this season.

I wonder how many of the players performed their self-flagellation sessions today as 'recommended'by Herr Beeks.

Refreshing to hear that a slightly more disciplined approach is being taken by the management team.

That given-its quite normal for a new management team to comment on fitness issues ; so i suspect there is also an element of exagerration-albeit Yorath did refer to difficulties in getting some players to training-was that part of the problem though and indeed was Yorath actually complicit by highlightig the matters but not taking enough action to resolve it ?

Never easy though and in fairness to the players-they do have day jobs.

like Mark Butler says though tues thurs and Saturdays are his time he is there boss and he wants them at work , if you don`t go to work you get punished if you don`t like it you leave , its that simple , i have the upmost respect for the players but this is how MB is going to be so they have to respect that . We have not had a hard firm boss at Margate for a long time , perhaps that is why we are in the mess we are in .

Good on the management for the way they are .

Up the Gate .

I know who you mean CE but no he wasn't told off as Geoff said was annoyed game was off especially when quite a few of his family were there to see him.

I watched the lads train with Steve and Mark, some great skills being shown when playin footie. Yes Steve really put them through their paces when one group were not playing but to be fair there seemed to be only a handful of them who fell behind others. The best part, as Danny said, was the camadry shown between them all including Mark & Steve.
